  1. Okay got my book, but customs now what's me to pay customs taxes for the total KS amount which has already been paid as fare as I know, one other reason why I hate buying things outside the EU.

That's exactly the reason why i opted to receive all my pledge stuff in one package. Still waiting though, haven't even received a shipping notice.

Guess i'll send them an email on monday.

  2. Seeing as there are almost limitless possibilitys to expand the malifaux universe i'm just gonna leave a few short bulettpoints as inspiration:

    - Big Game Hunters: Like in africa, basically rich bored dudes who want to hang a 10feet crocodile head over their fireblace back home in their mansion. Of course they hire local guides and carriers (gremlins).

    - Mining companies that want all OTHER resources that are available in malifaux (gold, silver, rare wood, etc.)

    - Slavers kidnapping gremlins to work earthside. Horrible horrible consequences earthside after exponential reproduction of the gremlins included.

    - Scientists wanting to catalogue the animals and plants of malifaux.

    - Malifaux "the world" suppossedly is a big place. There can be more, different, rival kinds of neverborn and gremlins (desertgremlin, jungle gremlin)

    - This also leads to the possibility of there being another huge breach. Maybe in Russia leading to somewhere in malifaux, hundrets of miles away from Malifaux-City.

  3. Communication with Wyrd seems to be very hard if even possible lately.

I did send Wyrd a message today through the contact form on the main page, due to a lack of suitable options i contacted the sales department. To my surprise I received an answer within 2 hours.

Good day Mr. ..... We can definitely adhere to your request. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

    Respectfully,              ...
  4. Anyone know where to send a email about keeping once rewards in one package, when I look ad the choices in the "contact us" it doesn't seem that any of those is the right one and sending a message in the KS doesn't guarantee it will be read, I tried to send a mail to Nathan but I’m not sure he uses it anymore, it’s a old one.

I did send them a message through kickstarter right after the update but haven't got a reply yet. Not sure i will get one so i'm also interessted in a working email address regarding shipping my rewards in one big package rather than multiple small ones.

Wouldn't be fun getting hit multiple times for the full pledge amount at customs.

  5. As far as i know all april releases had the new card material. If im not mistaken it is a linen finish (Thunderstone cards use the same stuff) and probably of higher quality than the previous cards.

Although i never was a big fan of glossy finish for cards, makes them look cheap.

  6. This will not help with attaching fiddly bits, but will propably save some models from being headless/beardless/....

Oh and i find cleaning a gazillion parts more annoying than glueing them together. Takes me about 30-45 min per model from desprueing to glued but i'm propably "overcleaning" them. How much time do you guys invest for cleaning/assembly?

Still love the dynamic poses though.

  7. Have you tested the palette yet?

I build one myself before, but never got it to work properly. The paint took a bit longer to try up but never lasted days (even in an airtight tupperware container).

I also tried different sponges and paper types. It's hard to tell if it's working as intended if you never saw one before.

Right now i'm using parchment paper/butterbread paper seems to work better than baking paper (i looked for unwaxed but even unwaxed it had a bit of waxy feel to it). Finding the right type of paper seems to be the key to getting this thing working the way it should.

Pro Tip: (although i'm far from being a pro ;))

    Clean your pallete often!

Change the water and paper, clean the sponge. Otherwise it will get moldy and rather disgusting. I think i saw mine crawling through the room once or twice.

  8. but rather the direct risk they introduce to their Intellectual Property by releasing the rules and models for free. Especially with Vassal or gamers who don't mind proxying.

That risk is already there, one dude and a scanner/phone is all you need to get the rules on the net.

    In regards to proxing:

I can buy one or more faction decks and proxy like a maniac, never purchasing a single wyrd model if i wanted to. The question is whether i'm still playing malifaux or some wierd amalgamation of warhamahordeshido.

Also is there anybody willing to play against my awesome proxy crew i greated using some washers and the odd office supplies + glue?

Malifaux isn't only the rules and stats, it's foremost the models because thats what you see on the table.

    Edit:

Actually i'm pretty sure Wyrd would make the most bucks by dropping the statcards from all future packs. Simply because these cards cause a huge amount of costs by the additional logistics needed to get them in those packs. Selling them as singles on the Website increases this problematic even more (Warehouse cost, space for 300 different cards in various amounts, etc.).

  9. Mine got stuck at customs too but at least it finally showed up in germany.

    @Darios

You can send a copy of the invoice (via email, incl. PÜB and lfd. Nr.) to the customs office and the german post will get it through customs for you.

Ironically thats what they should have done in the first place because wyrd attaches the invoice on the outside, lazy ass post dudes :/

For me it usually takes about a week until it gets delivered but saves me the two hour trip to the customs office and their not very work-friendly opening times.

My customs office is in Mainz, so your mileage may vary with different customs offices.
