  1. Thanks for doing this, TheRat! If you could keep tracking it in this forum, that would work really well. That way, you can edit this to update it, but I'll still have this in the thread to show who contributed when all's said and done.

If you don't have time to track this let me know and I can do it, but if you're willing, it's all you.

I can keep an eye on things.

Anyone who wants to fill in information for Neverborn models check the list on Page 13 of this thread and let me know!

  2. Okay, here's the current status of Neverborn models. I will start working on Baby Kade, Teddy, and Sorrows. Anybody who wants to pick some up, feel free.

@Hateful Darkblack: do you want to keep track of who picks these up?

  3. Pandora is just about done. I need to add some info on schemes and there are some models that I have never used with her that I cannot really comment on. I have linked to the models that appear to have sections and will do so for the rest when the pages become available.

Somebody was doing Neverborn minions, is any help needed with that?

  4. Two new bits of information. First, Tre posted an update to Facebook:

Picked up the contract from post office today. I have read over it and things look ok to me but to be safe I made an appointment for Friday afternoon with an attorney familiar with Chinese contacts to read over and make sure there is no clause that can be damaging.

When asked for a time estimate, this reply was given:

If gave estimate I would say 2 months. I do not think will take quite that long but rather overshoot then under how long it will take. From what people have told me, the shipping from China to here can take about a month. Staining and boxing up the orders should not take that long.
  5. To be fair, I get his point about the weathering. I ordered a pre-weathered town set, and if I remember correctly it was clear from the very beginning that the weathering would have to be done by him/them at Po Boys in an extra step. You also had to pay extra for that (unless you were an early backer). So if Damian is currently not available, and the other guy(s) don´t know (yet) how to do it, that is fine. If need be, I will take it un-weathered.

This is my understanding as well. Damian was going to do the weathering after he received the product. The FB post does not suggest that this is currently a hang-up, as he says he'll deal with that when he gets a hold of the sets.

As to the paperwork issue, I believe the problem is that only Damian was authorized to obtain the product. Why it is so difficult to alter that I do not know, I have no experience in such matters.

Problems were not announced because until Damian (supposedly) returned to the hospital there were none. Damian is (supposedly) unable to collect the product and unable to complete the weathering. It would be nice to see some proof of where the project sits, though. I know people have requested this on facebook. Hopefully we see more soon.

  6. 1. Yes, Harvest Chi works off of an aura and auras always require LoS.

    2. I don't think Yan Lo even needs incorporeal to move "through" a wall. The rule says to place him within 8" and a place is not hindered by terrain or LoS (although it must be legal to place him on whatever terrain is below him).

    3. Any time an ability says to "target" something, LoS is required unless it explicitly states it is not.

    4. No, the spell will "succeed" as long as you meet the TN.

Edited to change pulses to auras before somebody calls me out.

  7. but I can see why it could cause an argument.

This is the whole issue in a nutshell.

Dracomax seems to share my feelings on the matter. While I agree there is far too many oddities in terrain pieces to have complete uniformity and some case-by-case discussion will be needed, I feel like there is not enough official direction; there are too many cases where this sort of thing becomes an issue. I intend to suggest to my group that we craft some house rules regarding terrain and while this will do fine for most games we play, it can set us up for problems when we play with others.

  8. Since my group has been having this problem I decided to throw up some solid example images. I apologize in advance for the harshly lit December models. They're mostly white and this was hastily done.

This is the issue my circle runs into most frequently. The gamin wishes to shoot Lilith (brave gamin, no?). Because Lilith is within 1" of the terrain and at least 1 line can be drawn between them that crosses the same terrain, does Lilith receive cover? It is not overly large and is one solid piece so should not warrant any sort of division.

Once again, the brave little gamin wishes to blast Lilith. This time, however, he is hiding behind what is clearly an off-shoot of the main piece of terrain. While she is within an inch of the main building, she is not within an inch of the offshoot. Is she in cover?

This one is similar to the previous one, but the stairs are much more solidly attached to the building; reasonable people could disagree about how much a part of the main building they are. Cover?

Again, this is along the same lines as the previous two, but with another subtle difference. The small, jutting "veneer" is now between the gamin and this (strangely) opposing Wendigo. The Wendigo is not within an inch of the veneer, but he is within an inch of the building. Similar to my questions above this one, should the veneer be considered not part of building, but a separate piece? Should it be ignored? Finally, of course, is the Wendigo in cover?

Finally, in sort-of a reverse from the previous example, the Wendigo is within an inch of the veneer, but the building itself is what obstructs LoS.

Thanks for taking a look and I hope this helps to explain some of the issues other people are running into as well.

  9. I believe you are reading it incorrectly. If a model is specifically Immune to Horror Duels, it does not need to make a Horror Duel. If a model is simply immune to being Paralyzed, it would still need to test for Horror Duels, and it could still be attacked by Sorrows - it just wouldn't be Paralyzed as an outcome. But making the test could still trigger other effects based on the pass or failure of Horror tests or Wp duels.

This seems correct. Sorrows do not cause paralysis duels, so a model's immunity to paralysis would not prevent the duel. Indeed reading is fun.

  10. I agree that it is unclear, mostly due to the different references to "cache" and "pool." I always thought the cache is what the master brings with him/her, nothing more, and that the pool is the total number of stones the crew had. Whether that pool is full or not varied, but the limit is 7.

If the Ronin's card references the "cache," though, that throws the whole thing for a loop. It sounds like it means to reference the "pool," but those words have never been formally differentiated (I don't think), so it's a bit unclear.

As it stands, the argument with the most weight is that a Ronin cannot increase the number of stones in the pool beyond 7 because there exists another card that explicitly states breaching the limit is okay for that ability and the Ronin's card does not. At the same time, it could be the devs intended the Ronin to be able to breach the max, but just forgot to add it.

The matter is muddy and would be an excellent inclusion in an FAQ.

  11. I was not under the impression that the effects of an action limited their use in this way.

Would a Sorrow's Doldrums be unable to target a model with Frozen Heart?

Can Pandora not make disengaging strikes against a model without a :melee attack? If the target having a :melee attack of its own is a requirement for her to use that action, then she cannot.

I argue that the effect is post-duel and that, as currently written, she can target models that lack a :melee and/or :ranged attack with Self Loathing and Self Harm respectively.

  12. Cant say anything concrete yet... but a certain someone noticed this whole adventure and was impressed by the fanbase and loyal support they have seen from this community. We have talked and they are sitting back watching how I handle the perk fulfillment. Everything goes fine and ummm... lets just say I wont have to come begging for funding on kickstarter/indigogo when time to bring the Victorian set to life :)

But you will, right? You will let your loyal fanbase have a crack at them before anyone else, right?!

Oh, and congrats on the successful campaign!
