  1. Greetings from Berlin, Germany!

The year 2016 is going to be kicked off with a blast. The early months of the year tend to be slow and boring. So why not play one kick-ass game to fill some time?

I am hosting an 8 week Growth League. I changed the rules a bit from the regular rulings. For more information, send me a PM here and I will fill you in.

Playing area is going to mostly be at Battlefield-Berlin, but can change, depending on player group needs.

Gaming dates will be every Wednesday and Saturday spanning from the 6th of January to the 1st of March 2016. Starting time: 11 a.m.

An entrance fee of 5€ will be charged per player to offer some prizes for the ultimate winners at the end of the league.

That sums it about up, if you are interested, send me a message and I will get you hooked up! Happy New Year and see you soon. <3

  4. Your painting quality is damn great.

The model that catches my eye the most is actually Gracie. Her eyes are fantastic and I love the subtle tones you used in her skin to offer variety. Really nicely done.

If I may nag at something, I do not care much for the green goop you applied to all of your miniatures. Mostly cause it is compared to the rest of your paint jobs too flat and not fitting enough. It's too simple and direct for my likings.

Awesome gang. I wish my Gremlins would look as nice as yours...

  5. O snoozed during GenCon and would like to have one. If you by chance have one you actually do not really need or want, hit me up.

My Local Game Store wont have the crew until December, the earliest and I am kind of antsy about my fav Maligals.

Hit me up with a PM.

    Shipping would be to Germany.

    Thanks!

  6. I like your color scheme!

Thanks! It looks off at first but it really grew on me over time. :)

Hey! I'm glad to see you back in your thread.

I can see a big difference from your previous painting on their guy and their armors.

I really like the Infinity minis you've did, some are a bit too colorful, but overall they have a great color scheme.

The pigtail girl and bronzed skin blond guy look really cool. I mean even the generic gun people are cool.

What's the name of that faction?

I do paint my stuff in bright and vibrant colors. Plus Infinity is a colorful game. Needs more color. <3

Plus it helps me pull off unique and uniform at the same time.

The faction is Aleph as Nohero has mentioned. It is to be more precise one of the standard soldiers of the Steel Phalanx group, called Thorakitai.

    Faction is Aleph

    Yes. <3

  7. I seriously don't understand how you do the eyes. How do you have the patience. :D I'd lose my mind on those. I have already started painting the Clint Squint on all the malifaux plastic models as I can't paint the eyes while remaining sane. :P

You just need a proper brush that remains pointy. Try using one with a larger body. This will leave more paint in the bristles and thus it wont dry out leaving you more success at applying. Just a bit of a steady hand and gentleness is what is needed.

I still hate painting irises and pupils, as it is such a small detail it just doesn't look good on small eyes. Still try to do so on some models though....

  8. Infinity models are pretty damn tough to paint too as the models are really small. So well done.

They have their ups and downs. They have such super intricate detail sometimes it is nuts. But they are really fun to paint and look great. Painting these difficult models has pushed my skills forward quite a bit, if I may say so. Considering how I painte dmys older stuff in this thread...

My way of regarding things to paint has changed and I approach tasks differently now than before. :)

  9. Bert!! I knew I forgot to buy one gremlin....

(still) loving your orange greenskins and I agree with my Polish mate - although I think you should add the sign to his apron: kiss the cook!

Haha. You can always buy him belated. Make sure to pick up Gracie or a Warpig. He has good synergies with those porcines!

I wont paint anything on the apron. Even if it would be fun, I like the way it is. Plus my freehand is TERRIBLE!!!

  10. Chief Ravage looks amazing - really great GS work on the apron and hat. Such a small mini yet you've kept the details sharp!

Thanks a lot! The GS work on Ravage wasn't too difficult. Mostly just rectangular shapes added and slightly pushed around on the model until they fit. More concerning will be the hair bits and some other portions on the other two models currently WIP. I wont nail them and get the best looking model out there. But without practice I will never be able to do that in general. So woop, woop!

  11. So here are my next two models finished and nice!

Chef Ravage with some burnt undefineable chunks of whatever.

Funky Burt Jebson with his crazy gun!

Tell me what you guys think! Next up I will be painting some Infinity models. Just need a little Malifaux break for a bit. I am painting some Bakunin Nomads. Here are two already finished models, so you can see what else I do besides Malifaux!

A Zero with Combi Rifle and deployable repeater.

    20140811_191057_zpsowpdplyr.jpg

A Moderator with a Combi Rifle.

    20140811_191622_zpsyhxz5hhw.jpg

These guys usually take longer to paint because I use a different approach on shading. I actually tone down or up on the colors instead of using a simple wash, highlight and fin as I do on my Gremlins. You can see this mostly on the pants of the models since the 'white' color on them has various shades hidden within. I will be painting another zero and a moderator (common troops in my army). Once finished I will head back into the 'Faux and paint a total of 6 Pigs! (Maybe even a very special and very big and bulky and kind of gross one too, if I am in the mood...)

  12. Skeeters are disgusting! Great work on them :D I love your idea how they use their tongues to suck the blood.

Only thing I would propose that the undead pig has glowy eyes and maybe a bit of OSL effect around them, but that's me just being spoiled. (I couldn't pull it off with my painting skills as I am right now)

Apron on the chef looks good.

What did he skewer grill on his shishkebab pike, are those some sort of meatballs? Meatballs might need a bit of texture to them, but all in all he looks quite nice (maybe a bit too competent at grilling edible food since he's a gremlin).

Which rules are you going to use for him? (Wongs I guess)

    Thanks! Skeet, skeet!

I see no fault in gremlins imitating kebabs as a bad thing. It isn't hard either. I do think in terms of cooking them, they will probably not turn out edible in some way. :P

He will be a regular Bayou Gremlin.

Wow EVB long time no see. Glad to see you are improving your painting constantly:) alot quicker than me unfortunately ;)

great work and loving your gremlins :)

Hey yeah! Thanks, though I do not really think I have improved much. But thanks none the less! <3

Wow, love Somer's white suit, and the chef is coming out nicely

    Thank you!

Somer's white suit and top hat look great and I love the paintjob on this model. Just one small thing you might want to change - the nails on his foot seem to have the same color as his clothes. A quick dark/brown wash should do the trick ;)

Thank you! All of my Gremlins have bone white (and simple) nails and teeth. It is just part of that uniform look I am going after. :)
