Back on topic a bit can someone explain the "old feeling" that's been lost?

For personally the game feels the same. Sure I could pick up on different rules that change the game (soul stones) but it still feels the same to me.

I'm just curious.

The Peoples who have selected this option in the Poll probably think differently – for Them probably something was lost.

You also have to assume that the majority of the people that will actually see this poll are for it. The people that hate M2E have probably already abandoned the forums.

Maybe They will rejoin forum one more time to vote and show Their disproval for M2E?

And to show that v1.5 still have enough fans to survive … or be forgotten

Can You approximate how tiny minority?

Do You think that outside of the forum the votes will/can distribute in different way?

70 votes so far. It seems that M2E was a good move - vast majority of Players will be happy to play a new edition, only one vote to quit option - also very good outcome.

Being hung up on what was lost will leave me feeling like an Enslaved Nephilim with a big ol' ball and chain.

With M2E going official are You plan (based on what we know from current state of Beta Tests) to:

1. Fully Embrace M2E
   
2. Play M2E but regret the loss of “Old Feeling”of Malifaux 1.5
   
3. Play both versions
   
4. Against all odds still play Malifaux 1.5
   
5. Quit playing Malifaux
   

I am simply curious how many people and to what degree are happy (or not) becouse of M2E.

I am not surprised ….

Because problem with wargaming in Poland is that community is gathering around shops – and I think that should be gather around Gaming Clubs – but being poor we cannot afford costs of running such clubs – sad thing.

And shops are interested in profit – do they promote systems that will bring profits with minimal risk.

So MalifauX in Poland is doomed – especially that M2E bring IMO a lot of confusion in slowly developing community.

I was on good way to introduce two new players in Warszawa – but with M2E they slip away my wicked machinations … I play mainly Neverborn so You have understand

Please Wyrd - when did DMs go from being real people being slowly corrupted by the powers they were sworn and trained to combat into flaming skulled freaks?

When did you decide to turn Malifaux into the cheap saturday morning cartoon fodder, mimicing a second rate comic character? There's no darkness or grit in these models. None whatsoever.

The original DMs were iconic and an integral part of the Malifaux aesthetic, symbolising the Guild perfectly as the upstanding bastion of humanity being taken over by the things it stood against. That's the sort of stuff you built your world on. Not this nonsense.

Please PLEASE don't ruin my faction, and some of my favourite models, like this.

My point of view is exactly the same.

Minions: Misaki and Hamelin (also very distinctive element of MalifauX fluff ) are gone in M2E and now DM are corrupted into something very different from DM that brings my attention to MalifauX.

I also like this two things - but burning skulls and LJ ninja look are not OK for me. The fluff do not mention burning skulls - frequently sickly/strange look of DM.

Now that Collodi will be a master (like ALL the current henchmen), I assume that I cannot take both him and Zoraida without embarking on very big game points-wise, of which I have little interest. I really brought Z into the crew because I wanted to get Killjoy into a Collodi crew which may not even be possible now at all. I guess I will have to wait for the 2E rules.

Anyone else bumping into 2E oriented dilemmas?

I had purchased Collodi Crew to support my Lilith - now I don't now if I want play Collodi as a crew commander. Maybe I will be using wicked dolls in Zoraida crew.

Funny thing: I obtain Collody very recently - so I don’t even had opportunity to use him.

From my experience (Flames of War) pre-measuring also slows down the game - before players will do anything they tend to measure anything - just because they can do it.

There will be a problem with model that do not have Rare X characteristics and You can field them in great number: Guild Hounds, Canine Remains, Bayou Gremlins.

Of course You can always have one cards and wounds markers beside the miniature (but what about a upgrade system then, each miniature can have a different upgrade so it should be the card to take a note about which upgrade was chosen).

As far as look of the model is a factor I will take Brutal and Mysterious effigies. As utility - Brutal (healing) and Arcane (extra card, extra AP for magic).

Freikorps Trapper [6ss]

Librarian utility is well known, Trapper is for Long Range harassment and the fact that he can grant scout for the rest of crew. In this battle I have tried my brand new Gunslinger and he was very successful - he was supported by Student (fast), so he can move and use Rapid Fire.

I have taken Student to support Vickis but during the fight Vickis run to grab the objective and the rest of crew was left behind protecting Vickis with "covering fire". And in this moment accidentally I had noticed that a Stident and Gunslinger would work together very effectively.

2 jakie są koszty przesyłki? (zależą od wagi paczki?)

3 przesyłki docierają do domu czy trzeba się po nie udać do Urzędu Celnego?

4 są kompletne czy zdarzają się braki?

5 opłaca się zamawiać w kilku czy lepiej pojedynczo?

6 warto skorzystać z pośrednictwa kogoś z USA? (przesyłka na terenie USA jest darmowa?)

Ostatnio wydałem sporo na Warmaszynkę (Cryx i wracający u mnie do łask Khador) i z kolejnymi zakupami przyjdzie mi poczekać.

Good idea. For me Oiran will be better - I have no Oiran model and three painted Ronins. And I love Ronins models, especially chick with gun pointing up.

I'm just sad that my minion Misaki will be retired and shelved. Yeah, I can still use the mini as a Master but still.

I hope they still find a way to either still allow minion Misaki to be played or rename the mini into another minion.

I also will miss Misaki, Hamelin even more.

Using Misaki as a Master version will lead to purchasing models that I do not need or want (I use Misaki in Vickis crew and I do not like 10T). Sadly the same situation i will face with Hamelin, I like Ratcatcher but his Master nearly Tyrant version is not something I will pick as my crew.

I will be using Misaki model as Oiran - only solution for me. Although I will be very glad if WYRD decide to introduce M2E characteristisc of minions Hamelin i Misaki in WYRD CHRONICLES.

I have started this topic because I believe that if You want something You have to fight for it. I don’t know that the target will be accomplished. I am prepared to lose badly.

But I had to try … I felt obliged to try.

We have the examples that rules and stats can be free (Infinity and some other games) … we have also examples that we have to pay for new edition.

Lots of arguments was presented by both sides of discussion … WYRD will have to make decision.
