  1. The Dreamer isn't the easiest Master to start with, but as with BillyGB he was my first and it's certainly possible to learn the game with him. While your choices aren't the most sleek tournament-worthy list ever and I really can't see how Candy would be useful with Dreamer, Kade and Teddy should be hilarious. The Dreamer can bury Nightmares, travel quickly around the board and unload them onto key spots. Since Teddy counts as a Nightmare when taken in a Dreamer crew, this'll give him two methods of fast movement; being picked up and dropped by Dreamer, and switching places with Kade when he's within 15". Having two big models (Chompy and Teddy) flying about the board should at least keep your opponents guessing. I would, however, suggest a pack of Daydreams; the Dreamer's pretty much crippled without them, as they can move Chompy and transform him back out of his Chompy form. Although some of the Dreamer stuff's out of date, check the Pullmyfinger wiki for details on all the stuff you fancy, and bear in mind that the Dremamer has had an errata that slows him down quite a bit compared from what he used to be capable of.
  2. If you're after crazy antics, have you thought of including a Doppelganger? You have a Master who's capable of taking a ridiculous range of models. Now pick up a couple of cards and look for any Talent that doesn't mention a model by name. Doppelganger can copy that as well as certain stats, and is quite handy on her own just by giving your opponents' Initiative flips a -ve twist.
  3. My route was much the same as 011121's. Dreamer->Collodi->Zoraida. Buying Zoraida and the Voodoo doll will get you a fast, nigh-on unkillable objective grabber and a second thing that can cast Obey. You've already got the Twins for board control and killing everything, and a pair of Stitched for hanging around and also killing pretty much everything. If you have Zoraida, you can use the Doppelganger trick I described above to get Gamble your Life off at Wp 10. Zoraida and the Voodoo doll can then Obey the Doppelganger to turn her into a machine gun of Wp-duel death. If you're aiming for something to improve your game options, you may want a pack of Terror Tots for some objective grabbers to complement your current tough heavy hitters. Other than that, you can look into more general stuff. Von Schill is a piece that you can use in pretty much any crew, and his great mobility and strong ranged power make him an ideal Obey target. I've heard about a lot of fun involving Nurse paired with Papa Loco. Other than that, you can pretty much pick any model that looks cool to you and is legal in her crew. At the minute I'm trying out Bishop, of all things. Pushing enemies off objectives and giving them Slow is fun, while having Df 8 and the ability to Push after an enemy misses in melee makes him remarkably fast. Zoraida can boost him forward into the enemy crew with Repulsive, and can help keep foes away from him and give him a couple of extra Charges each turn. All good messy fun.
  4. I'd recommend Zoraida. While buying Pandora would net you an excellent crew, it would leave you with effectively two crews; your Deamer one and your Pandora one. While this works really well for gameplay purposes, if you're worried about budget you don't want to have to buy a chunk of models and play an entirely new crew. If you get Zoraida (and possibly a Voodoo doll), you get access to any living model in the game with 4 Wp or less as well as the ability to boost their capabilities with Obey (which might as well be a 12" spell to give an ally Fast if you intend to use it on your own models). Zoraida can make solid use of any of your models barring possilby Teddy, and is a superlative objective grabber all on her own. While you won't get many crazy synergies from her (although a Doppelganger with her Wp of 10 and the Stitched's Gamble your Life is rather fun), she's nearly unkillable and can limit your opponent's options should they try to play around Obey. As well as this, you can stick to budget by buying single models when you fancy it; since Zoraida can make use of so many models, it's easy to splash out 6 quid at a time and get the likes of the Doppelganger, Taelor or a couple of Desperate Mercs (who can be *hilarious* when being Obeyed twice in their "For my Family" mode.
  5. So I'm wondering out loud; Among the new Neverborn models and their abilities, which would best enable some Doppelganger-based shenanigans?
  6. Fantastic to see a tricksy crew along with tougher models; they seem fairly well-rounded depending on how heavy-hitting the Hungering Darkness will be. Does anyone have any info on how long a Gencon order would typically take to reach the UK? I'm not exactly sure whether to get it sent to my current address or the place in York where I'll be staying from the end of September.
  7. Don't suppose there's anything yet on the Depleted? I'm pondering on how to fill up my $100, and was wondering how vital they were to Mr Lynch's game. Are they similar to Nicodem and his Mindless Zombies?
  8. Not to mention that the Silurids would be fairly redundant with Collodi's boxed set already in. Collodi can take care of objectives stupid-fast and sit on Claim markers with a bunch of significant models, and when you combine him with Zoraida you can move your Wicked Dolls literally across the entire board as a 0-action every turn. More fast models won't help all that much.
  9. I recently tried the Zoraidatron, and it was beautiful. The best bit is that the Doppelganger's copy range is 8" iirc, so you can create a fairly wide coverage between her and the Stitched with Zoraida staying out of trouble. Another fun trick which comes from playing the same Crew is that the 'ganger can employ Wicked Dolls' "Hag's Toys" to teleport to Zoraida as a 0 action. This gives you a Significant model with insane mobility and also provides a means of keeping that -flip to opponents' initiative well out of trouble. While we're on the topic of playing Doppelganger with Zoraida, she lets you squeeze out one more Obey should you have the cards for it. I'm sure that there are plenty of other hilarious tricks with her, but those are the only ones that I've personally pulled off with the Doppelganger in a single game.
