  1. The number of broken promises is starting to get a bit stale now *anger*

Yup. I've been waiting roughly a year for "new models for Molly" mentioned in that podcast leading up to last year's GenCon. A year, dudes. Excited and anticipating for A YEAR. And now there are these... for a game I don't play.

This combined with the lack of communication on the kickstarter I supported (Will there be a Hannah stat card for the version of the game I play - the version that I thought I was getting when I pledged for her? And, really, will the game be available at GenCon or not? How many times do these questions have to be asked before they get some kind of answer?) It adds up to me having bought my last Wyrd product. As soon as my kickstarter rewards are released, I can be completely done with this company.

  2. Hi there! I'm in Gainesville (grew up in Jacksonville, though.) I've never met the Jacksonville henchman, but I know of her, and know that they sometimes play out of a fairly new store called The Friendly Local Game Store. There's a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/322535561164418/?fref=ts

(We also have a Gainesville page which is just a little more active than the Jax one seems to be: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NoFloMalifaux)

  3. 1) Do those starters seem like a good setup (the wiki suggested that pairing I believe) or do I need a blister or two more for either of them straight off the bat?

    2) I note there are 4 books - do you need specific books to actually be able to use certain figures? I couldn't see any sort of reference on the figure packs that would suggest you'd need "book 2" for example?

(The 3D terrain *MAY* have been a bit of a gratuitous addition as its far from necessary but it seemed like a reasonable way to get a pretty good looking set up to play on)

As a complete newb (as in not even played the game, only ordered the stuff today!) thanks to anyone who offers help/advice :)

Ur doin it right! That's a great setup to get you and a friend started playing. The starters are a great match against each other, and the book is the only one you need to play. The other books are fluff and additional models, but every model you buy will come with the stat card that you need to play them, so you only need the books if you want to see exactly what the model does before you pick it up. The only thing I might suggest adding is an enslaved nephilim because it's a great totem for Perdita, but definitely not essential. (Note: I don't personally like terraclips, but they're not a bad way to get started quickly and easily with terrain.)

  4. Would you be willing to break this lot up. I'm interested in buying just 3 seishin (and maybe the avatar if it's cheap enough.)

So i've decided to cut back on crews i don't really use much, first of which up for grabs is Kirai

    Kirai

    Avatar Kirai

    Ikiryo

    Lost Love

    5 Seishin

    Datsu-Ba

    2 Shikome

    4 Gaki

All on bamboo bases from Malcontent before Dark Templar stopped producing them, mostly assembled and primed grey, all with cards

Ideally would like to sell but will consider trade or part trade for any of the following

    - Hamelin Crew

    - Guild - Alchibal, Wastrels, Riflemen, Lucius, any Ortega bar Perdita

    - Neverborn - Depleted

    - Arcanist - Willy, Joss

    - Rezzers - Simulcarum 29, alt Nicodem, Izamu

    - Outcast - Sue, Jack Daw

    - Privateer Press - Gatormen or anything for Blindwater Congregation

Keep an eye out for more soon, likely a Levi crew

  5. I would love to a general totem that provides casting help for the Ressers... the over-reliance on crows hurts the entire faction. Molly and Nico in particular would benefit from a totem that could hand out crows the same way the Mobile Toolkit gives out tomes. Maybe the same totem could also cast The Mist (and, while I'm at it, could also count as a crooligan itself? :1_Happy_Puppet1: )

Oh, I like this idea. I really don't think Molly needs much. Just a few extra crew choices like this would really help her.

  6. Was checking the Molly errata and noticed that there is no mention of philosophy of uncertainty. As I understand it an AR of having to sac the model even if the spell doesn't go of was added along with making it not be able to target masters. Where is it or did I dream it up?

Both of those conditions are already included on my Molly card and AFAIK there isn't another version of her card...

  7. I think some sort of willpower tricks would go a long way towards making her viable. Perhaps something like the Watcher's ability to remove pitiful except against Immune to Influence. And it makes zero sense to me that she's so willpower reliant and only has a 5 in willpower.

  8. [...] I can't remember whether he also got the Rail Golem but if he did, that's a significant boost too. [...]

[...]Finally there's the Oiran, who really didn't need to be a Showgirl to prove useful, let alone a Mercenary. Both were clearly included in her stats to give another option to existing Masters.

I guess my point is that if Wyrd is trying to limit the new models avialable to the older Masters, they're doing a terrible job of it. ;) Instead of a single Arcanist Asset two Animosity: Zoraida's, I would have expected to see ALOT more if that was their actual intent.

Hoffman didn't get the Rail Gamin. Smoldering Heart.

I am SUPER excited about the prospect of running Oiran with Sonnia, let alone Colette.

  9. Heh - yeah. They're super glossy. That's not the paint. It's me always forgetting to go back and matte coat after I gloss coat. (I use a huge mix of paints. Mostly citadel, but a few others - including some plain old craft store folk art thrown in there. I even inherited some old Ral Partha flesh tones that I LOVE.)
