I agree its important to not know who you are up against, however when revealed that your paring is Kaeris and Sonnia do you laugh or cry?

How do you then deal with the opponent if they declare Arcanist/Guild just in case they have Kaeris/Sonnia?

So Horrors seem more popular despite maybe having less synergy. So is this because people prefer theme over game play?

So if there is a match up between Sonnia and Kaeris, who comes out on top? Sonnia can get various LoS easily, however Kaeris can turn that burning into healing and buffs.

Seems as if Kaeris benefits more from being on fire (and her crew) so is Sonnia actually helping Kaeris win!?

Rasputina's model doesn't really shout "steampunk". She is just a girl in a parker effectively. 

The only problem with the LotF is synergistic aesthetics with the rest of the crew. I like it when crews look like they belong together.

The model of Rasputina in the crew box doesn't really appeal to me. It doesn't really say "ice-magic casting powerful queen".

I quite like the old version where she was floating but cannot get that now.

Go for the middle model - remove the backpack steam pipe thing. Too modern though?

Can't find other models. Some have suggested using Sorscha but she looks too aggressive and a bit too armoured. Plus have to remove the weapons.

There are some other Circle casters but maybe too far towards the fantasy end.

I know that Wyrd have / are re-releasing the original master sculpts but these are not commonly available as far as I know.

So what upgrade do you go with when playing Molly? I am not sure which is better though I have had great fun with Spirits. Though in order to use spirits fully is Kirai better?

So I used to play Hamelin in 1.5e but now he has changed quite a bit. Few questions:

1) The Blighted condition seems integral to his operation but does this build up sufficiently to actually be effective? What about condition removal - this would seem to be really effective vs Hamelin.

2) I assume like before you summon rats rather than hire them. Correct?

3) What is Hamelin's play style now? Is he a summoner / support / melee / ranged.... or other?

4) So I get the crew box set - what else would be needed to expand his crew. Does he do well with non-theme models?

Yes, however they play Thursday evenings and that's not always good. Just wondering if there are other players out there.

i've used the vulture before and it's ok but if targeted dies easily.... Leaves a corpse marker though. I guess i will have to try them all.

Which totem do you use with Nicodem? I can see uses for various ones....

Vulture - is thematic and gives some options for castings and moving models about.

Graveyard Spirit - is more defensive so maybe use in Assassinate or Reckoning?

Malifaux Child - this one is interesting as you could get more castings from it and a creepy child protege is appealing

I used to play Hamelin in his previous incarnation... I am concerned I am going to be disappointed.

I guess you could make buildings more interesting if they interacted in some way. maybe there is a piece of jewellry needed from a particular house; maybe a house has a secret tunnel that you can move through... smugglers tunnels or such

i have some "buildings " but you can climb on them for height and such; they've all got ladders, steps or such

I have a load of A3 6mm foamboard. So I was thinking of making some buildings. 

All the buildings I make seem to be too big however. So I was thinking the average building size would be 5" x 3" x 3" with a pitched roof. Does that sound about the right size?

I could make the roof detachable so that models can go in and out of buildings. 

What should the maximum size of a single terrain piece be?

Also, the purchasable buildings I've seen seem to be out of scale with the models, bring too small in general. What size should a typical building be?

I am from the UK and would like to play fairly regularly. I have a local club but that is a bit hit and miss plus limited in players of Malifaux. Generally evenings are better for me, from 7pm onwards. I've used vassal before but need a refresher.

Well these "branches" are about half an inch thick and stand 10" (or more). I could cut them down to represent smaller trees, but a tree is not a small thing.

All the trees I have seen are piddly little things. 

How do you prevent modular boards from slipping apart during play? Do you use doweling rods / magnets / velcro?

I can see modular boards of 9 1x1ft square being easy to store but having it "fall apart" during play would be annoying. Guess you could do 4x 18" squares.

Do you make trees to scale? I have some small branches that I've cut down from a tree in my garden that are twisty and would make pretty good "to scale" trees. However, this would mean they would be quite big. 

Is this worth it?

The base contact wasn't the issue as the models were all in base contact. I just knew there was something in the back of my head niggling that there was something not right.

if i were to target an Ice Gamin with Freeze over and hay Gamin was in melee, would the opponents tet paralysed but my gamin be ok? Just flip ne cad forr the spell to go offf.
