When is good for you?

When i try to create a crew it seems based on 1.5E and then there are only a very few masters / models..... no idea how it works. Anyone with the time and patience to teach me?

Is it for 2.0E though?

Ok... I must be getting old. I have read the info and I don't get it... how does this Vassal thing work? Is there a version for 2.0E? Can I play myself or do I need another human opponent... ? Anyone feeling generous and patient to walk me through this thing? Much appreciated.

Raspi's avatar also lost the blastiness of non-avatar Raspi so Frozen Heart and Ice Mirrors lost their tactical use as much... One reason I am concerned about getting Raspi is that she is pretty much reliant on those ice mirrors to function. If she is caught in LoS or such she dies... Gamin are needed to get scheme markers / objectives and be mirrors... they are fragile little things.

Yeh it was the Wyrd Nightmare Edition... hence it's now gone or exhorbitantly expensive.

They don't really fit with the Russian theme from above but... they fit the cannibalistic cult theme that Raspi has going on. Maybe instead theme them on the Druid theme as "Circle of Oboros" does... On that note.... how easy is it to shut down her mirrors? Ice gamin are pretty fragile.

Saw the first one before but as you say its HUGE! Second one I am not a fan of. Plus.... Cthulhu-esq things are rather cliché? Not sure how big the Charon miniature is, whether its 50mm big or not.

Just something different... instead of the Cthulhu-esq Nothing Beast, how about using "Death"? The Helldorado miniature... Anyone got any ideas for proxies for Tara's crew? Don't fancy paying the £70+ on ebay for the NE.

Just curious - how often do people play? Currently, I would be lucky to get one game per week. Since I want to try out various masters to work out which to actually get in physical form, this is going to take a while.... Any suggestions to get over this? (apart from play more....) Does anyone play with themselves? (ooer!... not in that way!). I read the forums and batreps so gives me some ideas....

Thanks for the advice above. Few questions about the old man. 1) Who is the best to put Corpse Bloat on to generate corpse tokens? 2) Is there any synergy between Nico and Sebastian? I love the buzzsaw new model. Looks more threatening than a man with a spade... 3) Is there any mileage if you did take Sebastian in turning Mindless zombies into Canine Remains? 4) Can a vulture air-lift Mindless zombies the same as it does corpse counters? 5) The Flesh construct looks good. Is it worth summoning? Seems it has more synergy with McMourning and Poison. Could take a Nurse to jab it so that it is constantly healing... 6) Flesh construct says it heals from Poison. So if it had Poison +4 would it heal 4 wounds and then 3 next turn and so forth? Couple of those and a nurse to top up their healing seems pretty good. What is the best and quickest way to generate corpse counters? How does McMourning compare to Nicodem?

So in my endless "thought" process I end up coming full circle back to the master that first grabbed my attention.... Nicodem. The reason I am wary of him is my experiences from 1.5E with him where I got completely frustrated and never used him again. This is mainly due to lack of availability of corpse counters to create his horde... though horde in Malifaux seems to mean more than one model... He never really lived up to his potential and against some masters he was completely gimped. The reasons I liked him - he has a ranged blast in Decay, he can summon / heal, he is pretty survivable... Reading some threads on him, things seem different this edition. Is this true? Is Nicodem a "good" master? Are the ressers still considered a weaker faction as they were in 1.5?

Hmm.... just thinking if the opponent has a bury mechanic with a cheap minion then they could bury that model and shut down Tara's game..... That sounds... against some..... a nasty counter to Tara.

I admit I have not tried her out, just reading through the various masters trying to decide on one to invest my monies into. Slowly narrowing down the list... Tara is among them. However, can't find her anywhere. Ebay has the Nightmare version but its about £70 now. Could find some proxies I guess... I can see how she synergises well with Death Marshalls burying her own models to get them unharmed into play. Been reading the other threads on her and it seems as if it takes a while to work out how to use her Fast mechanics. Her henchman (woman) seems little loved... whilst the big expensive NB seems to be either loved or loathed.... mainly for being easily killed.

Tara's auras are only 6" in range and so require her to be pretty close. Plus the fast pulse can only work if it hits an enemy.... if the enemy cluster their models then you end up with multiple fast models.... bad thing. You can only bury one model at a time.

So you give the enemy Fast just to get to Wp duels.... Void Wretches get two positives... All in all, it seems that the enemy are getting a better buff than Tara's crew benefits. is this the case?

I like the idea of Tara and the Nothing Beast looks great. However.... what just does not work in my head is the idea that handing out Fast to the enemy is a good thing... Surely giving the enemy Fast is bad. They get 1 more general AP. That is a gift! If you don't kill the models that are Fast then surely you are handing the game to the enemy. Can someone explain this to me (slowly and in small words preferably).

So then he can have 10T as they are lent to him as it were... and the Neverborn work for him due to Huggy being Neverborn. Hmm... I am tempted. Being able to discard aces and then keep them is powerful!

How does Jacob fit fluff-wise with Neverborn AND Ten Thunders? I assume he cannot take from both crews at the same time. What the pro's / con's of going either way? How does Jacob play in general?
