  1. Yeh, it's capable of doing that gods awful Doppelganger trick where I can do 1Wd per model, but I'm not 'that' type of player lol... At least outside of tourneys. This also reinforces my need to buy more models, Malifaux kinda died in the pants a few months ago around here, but I'm finding/helping new and old people get into the game again

  2. I'm just going to add that I'm the opponent DarkFather will be facing. I went with a fairly simple list that has a mixed bag of goodies that Neverborn can utilize to teach what I can. Something of a pry-and-see as to weaknesses, strengths and synergy. Also there's the fact I don't own all that many Neverborn models lol

P.S. as you can see from my signature, I could have gone Lady J or Perdita, but that would just be too dicky a move for a learning game lol

  3. But the simple act of targeting Pandora forces a wp-wp duel, which is the main cause of people gnashing teeth, ripping hair and crying to their mothers... They always (conveniently) forget she has a Df of 2 lol. Blast her, every faction has a blaster of some description. But no, I have faced maybe 2 people that have tried (Von Schill's Flamer and Sonnia Criid + 'splosive Witchlings)

  4. Kade isn't an auto-include for me, but he does get table time. With opponents that don't know him, he's the ultimate late-game assassin. When against someone that does know how bad he can get, he's a great tank/soak for the rest of my fairly fragile group.

As a side note: I don't actually have the Twins. Lelu's model never really appealed to me. May get them one day just for variety's sake, but the Kids for me are where it's at.

  5. That's an excellent point 96p. It's just rather unfortunate that Pandora's reputation usually precedes her, you will find people who have it fixed in their heads that she is broken/cheese/NPE et. al. and no amount of openness will fix that. I have had both experiences, and she was the first master/crew I chose. A friend also chose Dreamer/LCB at the same time. Neither of us knew how the game worked, let alone the masters, and yet we have both been labeled power-players and worse by some people who just won't accept we chose due to aesthetics alone. It rubs me the wrong way and is really quite sad

  6. Had a game today and something occurred that has yet to happen in a game to date... I had a Sorrow that was Linked to an enemy Warpig. He activated (took a wd, had 1 left) and Stampeded, Pandora was in it's path. The Wp-Wp duel caused the final wd and dropped the pig. What now happens to the Sorrow. Because the Stampede is a Push, he stayed where it was, but now the pig is dead, is that considered an end to it's activation (and the Sorrow then moves to B2B contact again) or does it simply stay where it was?

  7. My point exactly, once again thanks to MP!

Pandora's crew bleeds just like any other living crew. I get close to pulling my hair out going up against Nico, Somer et al. Yes Pandora can take out most minions in one (0) action if set up properly, but when they come back next round and she has limited access to healing, the whole thing falls apart easily

  8. I stand by my sentiment that Pandora is not the hardest master to face, and once u know how to counter her (ie, denying a success at a critical point in the incite/pacify train), she is really quite fragile and takes a lot of finesse to use properly... at least against opponents that know her. Cuddling usually just leads to resentment. Why should I, who bought Pandora simply due to aesthetics, have to re-learn how to use her because some (yes, some) players cant combat her? I have yet to defeat Dreamer/LCB, yet I wouldnt dream of asking for the cuddlebat (or Hamelin for that matter) as their abilities reflect the the character

  9. Oh please, Pandora is far from the only 'broken' master out there... at least when she's dead, she stays that way, the same goes for her crew. And lets not forget, this game IS NOT about tabling the opponent, but working strategies and schemes. People who bitch about OP are often target blinded and turn the game into a $$$$$$$$ing contest. Pandora was my first Master, she has a massive learning curve, and I had no idea what she could do when I purchased her. So keep your complaints for another thread, this one's purpose is quite clear. Kthxbai :-D

  10. Insisdious Madnesses are a must, even 1 will put the hurt on the enemy and make them change strats around it. Also Doppelganger, something about 5 self-loathings that cause 2 Wds from emotional trauma (plus her :-fate on enemy initiative, and her less then savory tricks) are just awesome

  11. There really isn't anything you can do list-wise to make it easier on your opponents, I've tried =p

All you can do is limit the times her trigger goes off, pull back on cheating in that 12-13 when a model is surrounded by Sorrows and just show off her abilities without insta-gibbing him/her lol. Newbies will always struggle against Pandora, as they would with any top-tier master (Dreamer/LCB, Hamelin, Lilith, et al)

  12. There's nothing wrong with that list. I love Candy as she is always overlooked as soon as Kade gets anywhere near them... people tend to forget her Wail is a Wp duel and soon lament their underestimating her =)

As previously stated, Madness is always a bonus, and the Kade/Teddy couple is enough to make Von Schill think twice

  13. Generally it is decided among the players before the game starts. I will always accept stand-ins as it gives you a chance to 'try before you by' in a game scenario so you can judge whether that awesome looking model is worth getting. And, of course, there are awesome models (eg effigies) that havent hit the shelves yet =p
