Congrats on the new little one!!
-
My kids are 9,12, and 14 and all play Warmachine/Hordes. My 12 year old son plays Malifaux and takes his share of victories against adults. His first crew (his idea) was Collette (not the best master to start with) and he had no problems, his favorite is collodi. I might recommend one of the more straight forward crews for any new player (Lady J, Seamus-if you are ok with the afore mentioned zombie hookers, Victorias, Ophelia, Perdita...).
Good luck and have fun

I like the top one as well but the hooded one with the two pistols is close in my opinion and looks to be much easier to convert by adding her staff. What models are those 2?

Page 73 in the small rule book, under Varying Encounter Length.
"The Encounter ends when the flip is less than the value needed."
There is no mention of models effecting the end of the encounter.

So far I have only gotten in one game with him and I would agree with your assessment of Graves, great piece but went down quickly (not sure if it was just because he looked like the greatest threat, my opponent was running Rail Crew and he focused on Graves). Looking forward to your findings and will post mine as well. I also found Graves can REALLY burn through cards.

I upload my pictures to photobucket and use the resizing on there before posting.

Nicely done, I like the color transition. I wouldn't worry too much over the seam, it looks more like a part of the skull structure to me.
-
But the story does mention that his eyes had "changed" since the Event. So he may be becoming 'something else'.

Sounds like a pain .... glad I went with the rail crew
But do you have "one foot Mei Feng"?? :Hiding_Puppet: *grin*

I hear you on that illuminated, took some head scratching to figure how the non depicted one went together. Ended up putting both upper halves together before ultimately deciding on the the Cthullu looking one. That one was a bit of a challenge to get all the pieces in place, lined up and cemented. She's the only one of the illuminated that I haven't painted because she took her dear sweet time getting into the paint queue.

I find myself ending up in West Covina, CA this weekend and wondering if anyone can recommend any shops in that neighborhood that carry Malifaux.
Any info appreciated.

Hmmmmm... cleared browser cache and still same background... must be doing it wrong.
NM got it!

Wait, you've found Crooligans to be amazing? Can you share how? I've been trying to get them to work.
<snip>
I have only used them once and a single one at that and found them to be very durable (against shooting) with their cloud effect, very mobile (again, cloud effect) , and great at interacting with objectives (1 interact, and after interacting a free walk). I still have some experimenting to do but I was happily surprised by them and I think multiple of them would only increase this.

I haven't run the twins so kind of one sided here. I like Kade with Pandora for the additional willpower duels (from incite/lure/terror), he can be quite the killer, his swapping with Teddy, and his Harmless which causes no end of annoyance to my opponents.
Just my $0.02

Beautifully done, your blues and whites are outstanding.

Great thread. I have gotten in one game with DD and had fun but missed a lot of stuff that I could have done during the game. You have all given me some fun new ideas to test out tonight. Thanks.

They look Great! I really like the shadow behind the Dreamer, VERY nicely done.

Nope, no one knows what the 5th card is.
Well that just screwed up my basing of Mr. Graves.
http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?32758-Mudge-s-Malifaux-collection/page3
I have him standing on 3 aces and the plan is for Tannen to be standing on 2 eights (when he gets here). Oh well....
-
I had always thought he was holding a full house of aces over eights.....
-
Sounds like a pretty ambitious project, I'd like to see what you come up with.
-
Very nicely done.

I cut the die with a hacksaw, it actually went a lot easier than I thought it would. The original idea was to have everyone on poker chips, buuuut, apparently they are made of plastic (no problem there) with a large steel slug in the middle (big problem). When I tried to continue cutting through the steel with a hole saw it heated up and melted the plastic. So the plan got altered to various casino games/impliments. I actually have a plan involving a lathe to get one more black poker chip set up for Lynch.

Very nice effect with the GS stippling. Great idea!
