i do,.. but reading about something and watching/doing it in person, can be two very different thing

mako never ceases to amaze me. i wish i had a 10th of his sculpting ability,.. and even his paint is better then mine.

Its probably because I'm not a real regular. I'm not as well known as some of the others like lonelypath or even nathan caroland himself. I just figured most folks don't even know who i am,.. or at least wouldn't if you brought me up in passing conversation anyways

This is my "replacement addiction". I got into the hobby many years as a means to give myself something to do,.. other then go out and get high again. It was an essential tool for me to get sober. And to be honest, I'm still using it that way. If I didn't have this outlet, I'd probably go right back to the drugs again. I've gotten a lot better recently with my photography. (thanks to you and the others on the photography thread) but still,.. my skills are somewhat lacking.

I actually did do a wash over the top of the black with a thinned coat of midnight blue. Doesn't show up well in the image though. Has a bit more of a blue cast in person. It's either my crappy photography skills, or perhaps it's all the ice blue making the midnight blue look blacker,.. by comparison. But thanks for the comments guys. I'm always keen to hear what people have to say and try to improve my techniques.
