The only way to make SOS work without complaint would be to have an international rating system for players, similar to what chess does.
-
There is also the unintended side-effect of people dropping mid-tournament. Edgar's opponents drop after losing causing his SOS to plummet. In the meanwhile Buster's opponents are playing for pride and one of them won. Buster still edges Edgar.

It can also be worth it to take spare parts. There are times when Molly is nowhere near an enemy model. She can at least summon them off of corpse markers.

If you intend to use his bag you'd need at least one Piglet. I'm not suggesting you use his bag (it's not very good, though it doesn't randomize when shooting into engagement so it isn't completely hopeless) but just noting. It can be nice against Flesh Constructs, though, which can be a bit of a problem for Gremlins. If you decide to get Piglets, consider the Hog Whisperer as without him they are a bit random.
He can also use the bag while engaged, which is a stronger attack than the iron fan.
-
He's too easily negated. I stopped taking him because I grew weary of a gamin/tot/hound/anything with a Ml range walking up and shutting him down. They don't have to attack and trigger squeel, they just have to keep him engaged.
He also can easily just be ignored as well or pushed/pulled out of position with lure and other movement shenanigans.
For 10ss, I'd just a soon take McTavish: solid ranged attack, equally solid melee, he can remove markers, push, heal, gain a third shot, can force opponents to drop a card, provide permanent soft cover, for your squishy scheme runners, the list goes on.
Fingers is a model that caters to individual playstyles and specific strat/scheme pools. When you're talking 20% of your points allocation, I'm looking for a model that can be anchor for the crew and provide more flexibility.
TO each their own, I realize I'm an outlier here, and it's shaped largely by my meta. Chatty models get removed/ignored/contained early game and then sit around and watch the action.
I assume your meta hasn't discovered the self attack yet. If he is tied up, then hit him with one of your own models and trigger squeel. (whilst I've not seen it with Fingers, I've had Sommer cross the entire board without having to take a walk action before)
he certainly isn't something for every game, but when he shines, he can completly win games on his own. I have found many people view schemes like protect territory, power ritual, and breakthrough almost auto points. Fingers is pretty good at denying those points to your opponent whilst getting them for you.
We have. And we still don't care.

Oiran are also mercenaries. They needed to be balanced over every faction, not just the one like Belles.

I'm also finding our group also approaches this game with a different mindset. All games are treated as practice games for tournaments. No waste, no fluff, no nonsense, no gimmicks. Every game is a race to 10 while trying to keep your differential as high as possible.
I blame Dreads for this.
Nekima problems
in The Bayou
Posted
Seriously, how do I beat this:
Size: 50 - Pool 7
Nekima - Inhuman Reflexes
Blood Hunter
Hayreddin - Inhuman Reflexes
Black Blood Shaman
Mature Nephilim - Ancient Pact
Mature Nephilim - Ancient Pact
The player in question plays it for all scenarios. Most of us haven't made it past turn two. Nekima is typically rammed into your deployment zone on turn one. The mature nephilims are easily replaced as well. Damage is regenerated and despite the model count, scoring hasn't been an issue. Most of us who have survived to turn three no longer have the manpower to score scenario points.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
