  1. Yan Lo is a really fun and nice master to play. But just as a head's up, Masters of the Path includes a whole lotta really small parts and is extremely frustrating to put together. So sooth your nerves before digging into that :)

Yes I suggest when clipping off and glueing on Yan Lo's beard you do so in a confined box of some sort :P

  2. Standard size is 40-50ss, once you go over 50 it start's to get big. I've personally never looked to go above 50. I can't see Malifaux being a game which gains anything by playing bigger games.

I can't remember seeing anything stating 40-50 is standard (other than the perception of the tournament community)?

50 is the balance point according to the rulebooks, so anything above is essentially big. I guess 75 would give you a similar model count to the old 1st edition Brawl.

  3. Customs (and supplier?) are the bastards in all of this imho. Nathans been saying the same thing for the past couple of months (or thereabouts) and I'm pretty sure he's not dumb enough to just sit on them in his warehouse.

And don't forget the containers have got to get through UK customs yet before distributors get hold of them.

Worth a thought looking for a 2nd printer in Europe maybe?

  4. She's pretty steampunk. She's wearing coveralls and work-type clothes, and fits right in with the likes of Kaeris and the rail crew. I don't really understand where you're getting the 80s/90s vibe at all.

The raised collar, the Pockets on the trousers, the Studded gloves, the new wave faint paint.....etc ;)

Yeah she looks cool and I really do like the look and thankful she's not running round in her stockings and low cut top  (giving credit were its due), but 100 years out of place imho

  5. OK she looks good (in fact brilliant) :) and its good to see another female with some clothes on..............but unfortunately to me she's just too modern (80s?) looking. I can't see anything victorian/wildwest about her and thats sort of dissappointing and takes away from how good the art actually is.

I think describing Malifaux has Victorian, Gothic Horror, Steampunk, Wildwest with some Asian influences thrown in somehow works, but I can't see how you can now chuck '80's/90's' into that.

Now if she was a model for a Sci Fi game then I'd be right behind the art and raving on about how awesome she looks.... but for Malifaux??? She doesn't fit the theme imho

  6. I would never hire Hans, simply because I refuse to tolerate a model that can be bribed into not shooting somebody.

As for the statrocks, has anyone ever bothered, or is even capable, to do some math to check the probability of a:+fate being more useful than the stat increase of the stone?

Unfortunately I can't figure out something like that for myself, sometimes I really miss the D6 of other games.

Hans is one of the very few Mercenary models I would even consider using now.

IMHO it seems to only be the higher cost Mercenaries that are worth paying the extra 1SS tax on.

I dont think Id even consider 'convict gunslinger' or 'Desperate Mercenary' now :(

    (Scrap the Merc tax Protest!)

  7. Have any of the Scottish contingent come forward with their thoughts yet?

I to am still not convinced a change now is required.

What you don't want to happen is all those smaller events losing out on players attending and then not growing.

Also, there is still a good 41 point spread for the top 1o players and 85 points for the top 20, so I can't see a need for a change on that front either.
