  1. You dudes are the dogs dangleys!!! I've been pondering this following passage for about 4 days all because I thought companion was a one way street! The basic use for this is going after a Master or important Minion/henchmen that is in a spot where you can't afford to leave LCB for the turn. Its a hit and run tactic that should leave LCB with 2 - 3 attacks before he is pulled out of there and hidden. Dreamer uses I Can Fly, Moves up the board, casts Frightening Dreams and gets the All My Friends trigger (cheat if you must) and brings LCB into play 6" out along with some additional support. If there is not a Daydream within 6" of LCB's final position, then you want to make sure to Unbury a daydream with LCB and keep it within 6" of him. LCB then Immediately activates due to One Master, Companions the nearby Daydream, and eat faces, doing as much damage as possible. The Companioned Daydream can then bury LCB with Calm Nightmares and use Magical Extension to cast Frightening Dream and bring LCB back onto the field, but now within 6" of the Daydream and hopefully in a very safe spot. So lemme get this straight; the dreamer kicks off his activation outside companion range of the daydream. Moves up to enemy model and into daydream companion range and turns into chompy. Chompy can then companion with the daydream to ensure his safe escape? Even without companion? Yours gratefully Dumbdude
  2. So what about if ha hit em with a blast ranged strike like abuela Ortega. Or say a blast melee strike like papa loco?
  3. Gotta love that Perdita! Although first time I ever played her (first ever game), first turn, she got absolutely smoked by a Von Schill trapper from the shadows with a god dam $$$$$$$$ kicker of a flip involving the fishlipped red joker. The day after I re-read the part in the book about spending soulstones to prevent wounds..... ..... Please don't point and laugh
  4. Increasing annoying query #3; How long do effects last? For instance; Abuela ortegas "Shotgun Wedding" states that it lasts until the end of the encounter (til death do us part). Pretty obvious how long that lasts. Then there is , say Dreamers "rapid eye movement" (gain flurry). Doesn't say when it ends, so does that mean it doesn't? The same applies to his "I can fly!". Does it mean he gets away with using one (0) action to gain flight until he shuffles off his mortal coil? Cheeky scamp
  5. Cheers muchly for the clarification guys! You dudes are most excellent. I've been gaming for decades and I'm, quite frankly, amazed at how this little malifaux beauty escaped my attention for so long! Keep up the good work wyrd dudes! And you dudes on this forum are gonna be getting questions aplenty from this greenhorn addict. Quick question #2; With the Ortega trigger happy trigger, could you theoretically keep going all day if the laws of probability went loco, and provided a deck of cornucopia masks?
  6. Quick one for you knowledgeable dudes, from a malifaux newb; Am I right in assuming the Dreamer can, at the start of his activation; 1) "I can fly" (0) 2) Fly 14" (2) (1 paid for by instinctual) 3) Bring out the big, tooth laden, love machine with nightmare friend (0) Who ripples forth, bare chested and greased up, and proceeds to; 4) Rip something apart (1) 5) Beat it again with it's own soggy end (both with a trigger on it) (1) 6) Hit it with a rather excessive and probably uncalled for third attack (1) 7) Trigger "All done" with third attack Then bring our loveable bleary eyed 8 yr old back who activates straight away and starts the whole process from step one??? Please tell me this is the case guys!!!! Been playing for short while, and managed to completely miss this little thing, until it popped up a couple of games ago, but I decided not to go through with the slaughter when I saw the sad puppy dog eyes on my malifaux buddy
