I love the artwork for Collodi on his box and Rising Powers book, especially his long fingers. I was a bit disappointed that they were so stubby on the actual mini, so I decided to see if I could get a little closer to how the picture portrays them.
I just happened to have some hands in my bitz collection for Necro Flayed Ones from back when I was trying to do a Gauntlet of Power on my Dark Elf general. I thought they looked pretty similar, so I just shortened them up a bit, rounded them so they look more like fingers and filed/cut some joints in them. Here's what I have so far:
[Edit: Collodi finished]:

This has been what my thought was. I don't see the Dreamer as Lovecraft. That being said I would love to see more Lovecraftian stuff, that's an instant buy right there.
Absolutely agree about more Lovecraftian stuff!

My Puppet boosters arrived today! All those that had reservations, please check your inboxes.
Adjusted first post with current Puppets up for grabs.
Thanks

Does anyone know when the Hooded Rider puppet is scheduled for his mainstream release? I had horrible timing for finding out about this game....
-
If the gremlins fall through, I'll take as many as you got.
Ok, Godspeed, you're on deck if there's a change of heart on the Gremlin reservations. :happypuppet2

could you add joss and nino to my other stuff im getting off you
Sure thing, J4CK.
If you end up getting another main set I'd be up for buying the Seamus puppetDon't think I'm ordering anymore at this point, Regnak, but I'll keep it in mind. :happypuppet1

If the mini isn't already glued to it's base, I have a large cork that I pin it in while painting.
-
I have the following Puppets left if anyone is interested:
Executioner x1 ($4)
Bad Juju x1 ($4)
The prices are set by simply dividing the price of the pack they came in by the number of mini's in the pack. I'm definitely not looking to make a profit here - I'm just trying to unload what I didn't need.
Let me know what you are interested in and I'll have them weighed at the post office and give you an accurate shipping cost (+ $1 for the padded envelope)
As far as payment, PayPal would be ideal.
-
Ok, subtracting the remaining Puppets from the inventory to open a thread with a less confusing subject title to sell the remaining.
I'll post again here (and send messages) when I get the boosters in the mail and let the guys who've secured Puppets so far in this thread know what the final amount due is (with exact shipping).
-
Ok, updated inventory for Geckilian, Swift and J4CK.
PayPal would be ideal (preferably through your checking account so those scammers don't charge me extra for credit card use), but wait until I actually get them in. Then I'll throw them in an envelope and run them to the post office and give you an exact cost quote.
Hmm, I'll add that little blurb to the original post....

Ok, here's a nice Youtube video of the Booster Pack #1:
[ame]
[/ame]Each model is shown at these times:
Sorrows - 1:40
Ronin - 2:00
Executioner - 2:22
Bad Juju - 2:45
Bayou Gremlin - 3:03
Witchling Stalker - 3:18
Moleman - 3:46
Rotten Belle - 4:23
Before I make up my mind, can you give me a shipping cost, even just a rough estimate? It wouldn't have to be fast postage, but if it makes them like $10 each then I'll probably pass. They'd need to go to Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
if the postage isn't to expensive like swift said i will definatly grab them of you postage to Perth in western australiaOk, I don't have a small-weight scale here at home, but my wife seems to think that 3 Puppets in a small padded envelope weighs about 4 ounces in her calibrated hand. To Australia that would be $4.33 + the envelope ($1). That's American dollars.
I'd be interested in the remaining Gremlins and all the Witchlings please. What would postage be to the UK, and are there any pics anywhere of the actual witchling stalker models?Gecklian, 4 Puppets (I'm estimating 5 ounces) would be $5.20 + ($1 envelope) American.

Yes, I didn't figure anyone would buy the whole lot of them, so I'd be willing to sell them individually. They'd break down to $4 a piece + shipping cost ($32 / 8 mini's per booster). Definitely not looking to make a profit here - just wanted my Sorrows. :happypuppet1
So, if the price sounds fair to you, I guess it'll be first post, first serve. So, Swift, that'd be 1 Belle, 1 Gremlin (or more for your BF?) and 1 Ronin if you're still interested. J4ck, that leaves 2 Belles for you if you still want them. Omenbringer, just let me know which ones you're interested in. Anyone else interested just post which you want and I'll adjust what I have left on the list on the 1st post.
Swift & J4ck, I'll wait to hear if the price is ok for you before I subtract those off the list.
I'll post when I get them in the mail and we can transact.

Closing up shop on this thread. Thanks for those that helped make my bulk purchase more palatable. :happypuppet1

Well, I ordered 3 boosters to get my Sorrows, so don't need to trade these guys anymore.
If anyone's interested in them, I'd sell them for $5 each ($32/6 mini's in pack= I'll take the $2 loss) + shipping cost. Let me know if you're interested.

Must buy plushies!

I don't really buy into the argument that rules promote roleplaying. What they will do is determine how simulationist a setting is, but not how players behave. Hell, the much derised "rollplaying" game, D&D 4th ed, is where I've spent the most time fleshing out a character and concentrating on his backstory, which is terribly fun to bring to life on the table. It doesn't matter if I'm using a grid map and tactics style gameplay to beat foes, I'm still in character as a country bumpkin who set off to bring his sister home after she ran away to become a feared pirate.
The Dread Pirate Roberta, who never takes prisoners?

My puppets haven't arrived yet, but my plan is to mount them on base inserts so I can play Puppet Wars with them, then have bases with rare earth magnets so I can pop them on to play Malifaux. I'm thinking Groundwerks "dungeon floor" inserts, maybe.
-
I realize Wyrd has A LOT on their plate already with Malifaux and Puppet Wars, but considering the rich and vibrant world they've created, it seems like an RPG would be a no-brainer at some point.
I just hope we aren't limited to which factions we can play (like so many other games that only let you play as the perceived "good guy").
Any thoughts?

Puppet AVATARS!
Maybe not, but it would be fun to see how dumb puppets manifest. Seamus could just be really overstuffed with stuffing. Puppet Sonnia just sets herself on fire.
I LIKE this!

I haven't seen one of these threads (or maybe there's info I don't know about already), so I thought I'd throw it out there:
What models do you want to see "Puppetized" in the next release?
My picks?
Insidious Madness
Coppelius
Primordial Magic
-
Vallejo with some GW inks.

I almost wish these were the actual Malifaux minis because they're so cool and fun.
Will definitley be picking them up when released in the near future.
Any reason why you couldn't use the equivalent Puppet Wars mini in Malifaux? It's not like model size really matters in Malifaux (i.e. you use Ht. stat and base-to-base for LOS).

Very nice, FoeRender. Like the subtle source lighting on the eyes. :happypuppet2
