The more I read of the main rulebook the more i like, nay LOVE, the setting. The fiction that is in the book gives a great feeling and flavour to the setting which in turn is helping me to visualise the world and the kind of games i want to play. I do have a few quick questions that id be grateful if someone could answer. 1 - Is there any kind of creation system to make your own characters? Dont get me wrong the Wyrd minis are great but I have some cthulu cultists that are looking at me oddly i think they want to take the word of the great dreamer through to Malifaux. 2 - Is there any campaign set for this, something similar to the old Necromundia set ive been told by my mate would work wonders, having not played Necromundia I couldnt comment. 3 - Really the game works on a 3x3 foot board? The starter boxes come with minis and bases, but no inserts. As a new painter, is it worth my while getting the inserts or resin bases to put the minis on? Never used them before so im not sure how straightfoward they are to use etc. If anyone can provide me any info and advice about them id appreciate it. Cheers. Brian.

and the WWG teraclips stuff wraps round it ok, as i thought they needed some weird imperial size, 3/8ths or something. I hope its all good as i have some of there stuff. Also how easy is it to use there softwear to plan out your city? edit again Afterlooking at my account i got Himmelvile Streets and Thoumonts TLX Ed. So just need some time patientce and ink. Cracking, and my rulebooks arrived today, and The Girl Who Played with Fire. Looks like ive a fun weekend ahead of me.

Cool, im in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Will probably be a little while before i get any minis and then even longer before i get them painted. Im a little slow when it comes to that. Managed to get the rulebook ordered. so now just sitting and waiting for it to arrive.

So is there an alternative place to get that information now? As i cant find anyone that has stock of the original rules.

Hey there from the sunny UK. Saw the getting started post on Tabletop Gaming News and thought this looks like fun. Ive been trying to find a rulebook, but the only ones i can find are the slimline one at £9.99 and the Rising Powers one. Not an original book. If im wanting to get into Malifaux do i need to the original book? or does the slimline one have the fluff in? Thanks. Brian.
