  1. I concur! Keep up the good word Wyrd!! Must be cheaper to make plastic otherwise 'They who should not be named' would have carried on with metal.

Part of the shift was blamed on the ability to forge their material. I know personally about three people with the capacity to make models using straight from the blister minis.

Personally, I love plastic over metal, but at the end of the day, any miniature producing company has to do what's right by them. If metal is the way to go for Wyrd, I'll cop it and continue playing. If they decide to go with plastic, expect some conversions coming from me... (oh, and I'll still continue playing...)

  2. I can't believe that the Coryphee Duet got banned somewhere... in a recent game I had Seamus v Collette, I took in Taelor as my opponent has a history of taking such things... Turn one, Activate one, activate the other, dance together, move, end up in my deployment zone... Turn two, Taelor walks over, smacks the bejesus out of the duet. Melee expert strike again, smacks the bejesus out of the duet. Duet dead. Opponent left with jaw on table...

  3. Still waiting on 8304 to be delivered. This is getting annoying now....

Yep, understand that one... Spare a thought for me...

Order 8158 - Ordered Prior to GenCon (knowing it would not get sent prior to GenCon).

USPS Recieve Electronic Shipping Info on the 12th August.

    Order 8424 - GenCon Order

USPS Recieve Electronic Shipping Info on the 17th August.

By the 30th of August it is in Australia... still have not got it.

I know that once it leaves Wyrd, they have no control over it, but the day I got my email about the GenCon Order, two mates also got an email. One got his Tuesday just gone, whilst the other Friday just gone.

I understand about that one, but the order prior to GenCon, well according to the USPS, they have not even got it yet... now that's getting close to a month later.

I have filled out the "Contact Us" form on the online shop.

  4. Thanks Eric, I do seem to have found a little place to slot myself into - Really enjoying this great game, and community. I hope to insert myself fully into the group within the coming months, and contribute even further

  5. I'm particularly fond of Rasputina, and for some Strategies the Sabretooth is a good investment. Likewise, with the right list, an Ice Golem can also be good. I'd grab Snow Storm as well, becuase that does significantly increase the mobility of Rapsutina's crew. For example, prior to snow storm, my Ice Golem stuggled to enter the opposing half of the board. Since Snow storm, he usually ends his first turn in the opposing half...

  6. Yep, welcome to the party Dave. You'll find in Perth, there are that many clubs, you're spoilt for choice...

Pending on your preferred gaming day/venue, there's probably a club near you, in fact, there's at least one club meeting every day (barring Thursday), so odds on you could make it to one...

  7. I recall it taking about a month to a month and a half at last Gencon when I ordered my Nightmare Chompy...That was Last Gencon right? I'm not going insane...right?

Yep, that was last year... one of the guys at my local club apparently got an email three months after GenCon... I think he said it was three months. Apologies if it was not, but the general gist is, we all need to be patient. I know that the stuff I ordered I really want to be here, but I can live without it. I have a crew, I have rulebooks (1 & 2), I can still play the game... that's the important part.

  8. *Thread theft*

Rather than start a new thread, also saying thanks, thought it best to just steal some space in this aptly name thread...

So, thanks to Wyrd. I got the first Wyrd order I made today (no, not a Gencon Order), and I have to say that I'm impressed. I've ordered a fair bit in my time from various gaming and other companies from around the globe, but the packing of this parcel was the best I've recieved in all those years from any company, and the nice little touch (not sure if it's standard, or random) of the phrase "Bad Things Happen" brought a smile to my face.

Any doubt that I may have had from ordering from you guys has now been erased, and I can see a long (and expensive) relationship forming between your online store, and my credit card...

I work in a warehouse, and I know that good, kind words are few and far between, so it is with no hesitation that I say:

Keep up the good work, I appreciate it, and I'm sure there's many more out there.

    Cheers!

  9. Um, I think you people have forgotten something... With Snow Storm, it's quite possible to have an Ice Golem or Gamin in the opponents half of the table at the end of turn one. Foul Weather is your friend.

I have been taking Power Ritual if I get standard Deployment, take a Sabretooth on one side, Snow Storm on the other with some Ice Gamins. If you're lucky, your opponent will concentrate their force to one side, Sabretooth goes on the other. Interact, move, leap, then stalk at the end of the turn. Puts him in a good spot for the far corner in turn two, whilst the Gamin interacts, walks, Snow Storm does Bad Weather, then brings the Gamin closer, Foul Weather, brings the gamin closer. Turn two sees the Sabretooth take the corner, and start towards corner four, with the rest of the gang approaching from the other corner, ready to take out the opponents as well...

  10. So, over the years I've been playing tabletop gaming, I've seen a lot of things that tickled my fancy. Either fantastic sculpts, great paint jobs or something comical inscribed somewhere, usually on a model's tab. I recently purchased an Outcast Misaki Model, and to my relief, the rock pictured that she stnads on, comes along with the model. Win. I had not enjoyed the prospect of modelling something like that. So I flip the rock over, ready to apply glue and see a little inscription - one that I have to agree with! What was it? Simple...

    WYRD RULES!

  11. I started with 'Tina, and she'll always bear a soft spot in my gaming, however I am just about to start work with a Viktoria crew. I have the Alt Rasputina coming, I think at this stage I'm most likely to expand on the Arcanists (primarily Rasputina, and perhaps another master) and the Viktorias - that way most of the models I have collected will be interchangable assuming I do an Arcanist crew. Having said that, when I actually read the book, that may change...

  12. Only just thought of this... I originally wasn't going to do a Gen Con order, but changed my mind. Before I change my mind, I did an order the Saturday prior to Gen Con - that order number was 8158. So what we're looking at here is an order about four days prior to Gen Con being 8158, and the smallest listed in this thread is 8177, only 19 orders after my prior-Gen Con order... and then in the space of 24 hours, over a thousand...

  13. Both issues are good points. I have found a little something lacking at the moment - most likely my experience. Having said that, the list I could take to this with Outcasts is a lot more limited. Today I had arrive Bishop, Misaki, Convict Gunslinger and some Ronin. Add in the Desperate Merc and Taelor I already have painted, it's easy to spend the 35 SS with nothing to spare... I think that Taelor and Bishops are must haves from that list, as well as the Gunslinger, which leaves me with only 10 SS to play with. Do I go for Misaki, Ronin or Desperate Mercs? Choices... What I need to do is get me some Vikkis...

  14. Here in Perth we are spoilt for choice... there is a gaming club open every day except for Thursday, so there's plenty of options to get out there, assuming you can.

Myself, I tend to restrict my play to one club through preference - I find it difficult to get to clubs on weeknights (excepting Fridays). So, lately I've been averaging one game at the club on Friday nights, and 3-4 games at the club on a Sunday. Lately, the majority of these games have been Malifaux.

And this weekend, the club is open on Saturday too, so we have four hours on Friday night, all day Saturday, all day Sunday. It's going to be a great weekend for gaming

  15. Hopefully, in the mail tonight I will have:

    *Bishop

    *Misaki

    *Convict Gunslinger

    *Ronin

Will be working on them in that order (probably only get one model done per day - so Bishop tonight, Misaki tomorrow night, and the rest next week as my local club (TGA) is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend)
