  1. I could see the perception of the game being "too French" as Malifaux is a french sounding word, in addition to being a part of a small town in France. There are many French sounding names in the game, but most people should be reminded that most of those are of a Southern US/Creole influence...

Such a silly reason to not play a game... You know what you need to do? Apply to be a henchman, and start getting people to play this game that is Too French *wink*

Edit: Colette and the LaCroix are most likely derived from Louisiana Creole French...

  2. Mould release, smooth surfaces, so many reasons for shiny. None of them that aren't fixed by a quick wash and prime lol. They are awesome, I MIT have a proper look at GenCon if they're there

We'll be there, I had to decide between Wyrd or On the Lamb, and since we're releasing EFT and I had my hand in that pie for awhile, I decided to go with them... I might still try to get a shift with Wyrd for the heck of it :)

  3. They're quite cool, although surprisingly shiny! lol.

Woo, progress. After 4 phone calls, three emails, and two and a half weeks, I've finally got the quote for the stuff I need for work. Now all I need is the boss's signature, and I can get things moving at long last!

They are resin, so I'm assuming that has to be the type and style of resin that our caster uses... It seems similar to some Forgeworld pieces I have...

    also *grin*

  6. Alf, you can try, but I'd ask the puppets for a puppet Fire Gamin first...they might not mind being lit on fire... >.>

    How're you doing lately?

I'm doing okay, I put in 2 hours and 45 minutes of overtime today, a half an hour yesterday, and can probably expect similar times till the end of the week... I'm exhausted and cold D:

  7. Sounds like a good session, and a good game. I want to try a brawl sometime but shine called me various inventive names for wanting Colette, Kaeris, Hoffman, mobile toolkit and some metal gamin to keep them alive. With the rest filled with fire gamin or coryphee. Apparently turning things into mannequins that you then explode, then detonating the scrap counters, is rude *grin*

Brawls certainly are interesting... I wanted to do a 70ss game, but my players didn't know how long that would last, especially since I'm trying to ween our Dreamer player off of my advice (and he's not liking it), so his activations take far too long.

  8. How was everyone's Friday night? I played a tag team brawl last night.

40ss, mixed factions, 2 players per side (20ss per player). Did an interesting way for initiative flips. Each side would switch between their "primary initiative" and then snake through. I was giving nicodem and his doggies a test run, helping our newest dreamer player learn the ropes vs Ramos and Zoraida (who had 4 models in her crew... Her, tuco, mature neph, and a voodoo doll).

Turn 3, I lost my partner because he had lost the twins and Chompy, left with dreamer and a stitched (still totally useful team, especially with all the negative Wp twists my doggies could pass out). So for turn 4, 5, and 6 it basically 40ss vs 20. I took out the mature neph with 3 dogs, summoned a flesh construct to take on an arachnid swarm, killed that with another dog, and started to work on the Steamborg Executioner. Turn 6, I lose initiative and the Hag,who has perfect line of sight to Nicodem uses Hex. flips a 6, cheats with a 13 of the suit he needs, soulstones and flips a 13, giving him a total of 33. I flip and fail to resist, and he strips me of my Reanimator Spell, so I concede.

I asked to see the hag's card when he went to do this, and totally missed the first part of the sentence that says, "target non-master". He was reading over it too lol. So we kept the game conceded, since it was 10 minutes to close.

Really fun game, and I enjoyed the fact that I was surviving a 2 on 1 assault and could have come back from it, considering that Ramos was down to the Executioner and a toolkit, and Zoraida had the voodoo doll (on his side of the board), her, and tuco who was almost dead.

And then I met up with some friends for drinks and catching up :) Hope you all had just as fun of a night.

  9. The special internship is for the advanced henchmen, most don't survive it or go insane

*twitch* what do you *twitch* mean *twitch* insane? Did you hear that? O.o

Yeah, you only need 2 painted starter boxes, a public place to play, and your application :) Once accepted we've got plenty of things to help you out with demos and what not :D
