Been putting together my World Eaters... so far got 20 troops, a Kharn conversion and a Rhino assembled. Also have a Daemon Prince and some Raptors. Should be having a few games against my friends Necrons again tomorrow. Will try my Chaos and see if a fare better than my Death Korps did...

In smaller games the Death Korps can get on quite fine, it's anything over 1000 points that they start to struggle to to lack of any real heavy duty firepower

Have you been drinking?! *grin* You are saying the Death Korps are better in games UNDER 1000 points?!! they cannot take ANY real firepower at under 1000... best you'll get is if you go all Engineers and do a Hades Drill Spam list but thats just being unfair to your opponent IMO since Hades drills are only 50points and you can have one PER engineer squad..... In the game I played I fielded ONE hades drill with 2x 10 man Engineer squads, Commissar General as HQ and a 5man Grenadier squad in Centaur and a 10man Grenadier Squad. The dice rolls needed were totally one sided also. If however we played bigger than 1000 I could have fielded various pattern Russ tanks, a Malcador defender, Quad Launchers, heavy weapon teams, Death Riders... the list goes on....

Just bought some more bits for my soon to be started World Eaters army... spent way too much on bitz... but hope the end result will be worth it. Starting off with:

Kharn (Conversion)

14x Berzerkers

10x Berzerkers + Rhino

Thats enought to have some small games as my friend only has a max of about 1000 points of Necrons.. bet they will get on better than my poor Death Korps... at small games it means I have to leave the big guns out and lets just say it was a tough fight and I lost...

At work on night 2 of 4.... busy busy busy.... Also working out my World Eaters army list when I get gaps in the work..

And yeah, the new Necrons are tough, lol. You really need guns that will either flat out remove them, or flood them with the wounds.

Yeah, even if they were facing marines the rolls are pretty similar... I was getting pretty frustrated having to roll these impossible rolls and when I did get lucky and finally wound a couple he'd roll and they'd jump strauight back up. Although the Hades Drill performed very well.... it took out his Annihilation Barge in one turn and in the next tank shocked some of his immortals off table! hehehe.. the rest of it though... ouch! His Necron lord was quicking my ass big time, when I finally got my Commisar General in for the fight he used these mind scarab things which ment he took control and I basically attacked my own guys..

Until he gets more stuff its around 750/1000 point games, so thats why I'm picking up a second army that should fare better

Made a small Forge World order, I'm in the process of starting up a small Khorne/World Eaters army... around 750 points for a few small games. My Death Korps took their first few outings over weekend in a few small games... boy are Necrons tough. At small games Death Korps don't really stand a chance, I need enough points for the big guns! However the last game was very close and I would have won if those stupid walking toasters didn't keep getting back up once I rolled impossible dice scored...

yeah, we'd need respected judges...

And here I am!

School is going well, we're about three weeks in and I've yet to miss a deadline so that's good.

As far as Khador, it depends on what you're going for...I know the Winter Guard death star with eSorscha is really brutal (full unit of Winter Guard+UA+3 Rockets+Kovnik Joe) just because of how everything interacts...and Beast-09 is really always a good choice.

Oh and can you recommend a good starter type gang/army thing for Warmachine Khador faction... I like some of the mini's and was thinking of picking some up although I do have lots of Malifaux and 40k to get through... its the gamers magpie syndrome! I like Sorscha model wise...

Okay, I'll switch off the sarcasm mode. Some of the increases are not to bad (the odd 50p here and there), but £20 more for some things and £30 more for the Imperial Section?! WTH?!!!!! Also, who the heck is going to pay £35 for a tank the size of a Rhino? Pfft... no wonder 40k is rapidly losing it's lead on most sold game line (then again, not impressed with Privateers' price hikes either over here in the UK (£58 rrp for 10 Bane Thralls when it used to be about £45 for a box of 6 and 2 clams).

Closing Warhammer Historical is something they've been trying to do for years, but with Priestley finally having enough and leaving, they finally pushed the door completely shut, shame really as Legends of the High Seas, Warmaster Ancients and other games like that were brilliant. In fact, with the current state of WFB myself and my Friday group now use modified Warmaster Ancients rules to play the game

Afternoon All!

Today I shall be getting some beer in and working on some 40k stuff... got 6 tanks to finish and a crapload of infantry.... I maybe even playing a small 750 points 40k game over next few days, my first in 15years! WOWSERS! I'm sure nothing has changed much since 2nd ed LOL!

I'm not too bad. School started yesterday, I've gone through 4 lectures of one class (yay video taped and ipod format!) and I'm working on one of my reading assignments for it now. So far, not too bad. Just found out all my quizzes are multiple choice and true/false, so that'll be fun.

And I've just finished the camo on the third of my Clan mechs...two more and I've finished up my first Star. Then I need to figure out a color scheme for my merc force, the Shadow Hunters. I don't want to do gray or black, but I'm not sure of anything else that'd fit them. Any suggestions?

Awake and feeling knackered... only 3 nights this shift though, tonight is my 2nd. I've been off for 6 days and got used to being a man of leisure and now they are making me do this think known as work?! Bah!

I'm one of the few people who loved the ending. Although even I'll admit the choices are very similar.

I hope they don't change the ending. Slippery slope when you start caving into fan demands.

Yeah, was just hoping for more.. as you said all the endings were similar and I was hoping for more. I'm not wanting an ultra happy everything worked out fine and everyone survives ending... just something more from the "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't" choices... The rest of the game was fine, just th last 10mins seemed a bit Matrix like for now reason and to me that didn't fit into the rest of the story...

Howdy!! For the last few days I have been playing Mass Effect 3 solid and have now finished it. And boy do I agree with the other fans who hated the ending choices... but apparently they are working on some DLC that will add better ending in the future. Today I will finally have some hobby time and work on my Death Riders and also my heavily converted army General....
