  1. Damn, now I need to remember what my signature was so I can put it back.

Yeah, I don't remember the link I used to lead people to my finished work... I think it's in the showcase, but this was unexpected...

    **************

Indeed, it was in the showcase. Glad it all was safe, I didn't want to have to re-upload it all again...

  2. Man, I really wish I knew how to program at all, cause I've had an idea for an app like this! I wanted to make something that had your current crew being tracked with a shorthand list of their powers/abilities (just quickly listed, like fast and quake) as well as a counter for SS and Wounds. I figured it would be for a quick on-the-fly look into what each character could do, and the more advanced players would be able to get away with just carrying a phone, while those of us just starting (me) would still carry all the books to matches.

I hope that you keep working on it cause I'd love to see it in action! (even if I only have an iPhone and wouldn't be able to use an Android app, but it's still nice to see it running)

  3. what about Lilith?

The sheer awesome of Lilith would be too much for most to handle. Although, I'd imagine something akin to the Mature Nephilim, but maybe 1 size larger, and much bigger, more jagged horns. Oh, and she'd have to have really big claws too!

  4. You could also use Sculpey to make your own base if you don't find anything that's to your liking out there. I couldn't find anything that was quite right for my Lilith's Brood crew, so I made a river for them to stand over. It didn't take very long at all, and the figures themselves were already painted. (I'd already painted my figures before I decided to just make my own very amateurish base inserts)

I also suggest using a finish, especially a paint-on finish. I've used the high-gloss for getting a good "wet" look, and for highly reflective metal, while a matte finish makes everything else look like flesh.

If you want to see how mine turned out just click on my Lilith signature.

  5. I really agree with the line about how "the Wife" is more likely to "give it a go" Eric! The way I found the game was looking for figures to represent players in a D&D game I'm running, and my Wife found these figures and got really excited. I totally brushed it off and had very little interest (what a fool)! She kept bringing it up and we got some figures the next week, and I'm so glad we did!

  6. Girlfriend and me (omg a lesbian!)

The "omg" in there made me chuckle for a couple of minutes.

I really like the multiple layers of color on every aspect of the figure! I looked at her before reading and you definitely made her look Hispanic. The hair looks like it has light from above reflecting on it, and that's fantastic. Overall I really like it and look forward to seeing the entire crew together!

I do feel you on the "poor picture quality" I don't feel like I've ever been able to get a picture to display as well as the figure really looks in life.

  7. I was really happy with the way that Lilith came out when I painted her face (I always had trouble with this and it's the first figure that I've ever liked the face of). So I cropped a photo until it was the appropriate size (though I wish I could have included her nails too, cause I like how those turned out too).

So yeah, it's my first finished Malifaux figure.

  8. Is this still going on, or am I too late?

Edit: Just in case, this it my tweet:

"The most difficult thing to do is make a puppet walk, unless you use magic." ~ James Racioppi (Paraphrased) #PuppetWars

I'm pretty sure you're ok, At worst I think Eric will just shift your entry to next week.

    Here's my entry:

"The eyes... The ever-watching eyes... 'I will never blink' he said... Must escape the eyes... " - Last entry in diary #Puppetwars

  9. my tweet for this week:

@WyrdGames We are no longer puppets being manipulated by outside powerful forces: we become the powerful force ourselves. #puppetwars

I noticed that the tweets for #puppetwars cycle out and are no longer viewable. I'm thinking some tweets may not be seen due to this.

Since I don't ever use twitter I have to ask, do you have to put "@WyrdGames" at the beginning of your tweet to get in the running?

  10. Well, there's still the question of if someone uses activates a Watcher to get rid of Kirai's pitiful, is it possible for Kirai to activate and then re-activate it, since it's not the same "pitiful" as the one that was dispelled (thus making the Watcher's action kind of moot). It seems to me like she could, but then, I'm not an official.

  11. It took me a while to get used to it, but if you ever have the card and/or Nekima handy, it's really nice to launch them 20" in a single activation (15 from spell with card and Nekima, 5" move after) to grab an objective.

That's what I was going to say!

All in all I don't really use spells, or even soulstones. I pretty much use all but 3 of my resources to have a bigger starting army and go with dumb luck for twist of fate. So far it hasn't let me down (though this means that, because I've said it, I will now lose every game for at least a month).

  12. Oh man... Now I'm gonna have to get one of those to incorporate in my Massive Malifaux model... I'm picturing a running train going through the breach. With rules to allow it to be in gameplay, like it gets turned on after each model's activation for x seconds (x = number on card flip) so it moves around... Thank you for the idea!
