I like it, but I do see a lady j crew tearing your plan to ribbons..
-
Nah, malifaux Thursday nights.. punching kittens is every other Friday..
-
If that's the way it is, that's the way it is. Seems the tourny power gamer way of reading it though. I for one think this un official ruling is naff. Regardless of the attack being able to fail or not, the trigger IS deffinate, can I obey a punk zombie to use its last wounds on self mutilate because its attack may miss? Seems along the same line as this..
This is no slight on you guys, your just discussing and coming to an answer..
Imo you may aswell throw Pere in the bin, he's a one shot model at best, he can be devoured, like all gremlins, he has rubbish wp, even worse when he's defending. Austringers, raptors and anything with devour is an auto kill, but wait let's add another huge flaw and make this model EVEN more situational..
Any idea when neverborn are being re-written with massive flaws in their stats? No? but let's cuddle another gremlin!
*throws Pere in the bin* we shared some memories buddy..

Completely, but the trigger IS Deffinate.. that's where my query lies..
*posted the same time as above* obey says that the model may not be sacraficed or killed as part of the action, so if a trigger is part of an action, then it cannot result in the model being killed, please see that I agree with what you are saying, except that a trigger is part of the action, so if the trigger is part of the action and no part of the obeyd action may result in the model being removed (killed) then you can't select that trigger, if pere had other triggers that didn't result in him dieing then you could use them.. just not ones that do..
Does that make sence?
-
Combination of 'take y,all with me and targeting my own gremlins' was kinda easy really..
-
Obviously your hand didn't help, but i would agree with bigkid, you needed to be more ruthless mate, while I have my haulers and orphelia in play, il happily throw my bayou 'lins and young'ns at you, remove my healing and all of a sudden my models become a lot more precious..
SS!
..sometimes can't believe I help you guys (unseen and kid) to beat me..
-
Pfft first game with THAT crew..
-
Don't you choose triggers tho? So surely yes you can attack, but seeing as the result from the trigger is auto kill you can't choose to use it.. what has been said does make sense, but triggers are caused by actions, doesn't obey say that an action can't be taken if it 'results' in the model dieing? Wouldn't the triggers effects still count as a 'result', being as its stemmed from the obeyd action..
(Could be wrong, don't have a rulebook with me)

Tina ftw!

Stuck it to em good! Admittedly it was his first game with them, but the cheesy git took hamelin too.. but 5bayou gremlins later, 1 dead Hamlin had him clean off the board by turn 5...
Another successful gremlin raid against da man!
Time for sum 'shine!

Pere's trigger states to sac him at the end of his trigger, therefore.. no you can't use his trigger..
-
Doesn't it say that if the result would kill the model you can't do it?
-
Brilliant, thankyou voldrak

Iv not run von schill at all, however I can say that the freikorps librarian work very well with lady j and I'd imagine would make a great partner for any beatsticks who tend to get shot up on the way in..

Your showing your age now.
..ah back in the day, when a movie, popcorn and a drink was less than a fiver.. and don't even get me started on the price of bread!
In all seriousness tho, I will be looking to run lenny over Francois, just feel his 'buffs' are far more valuable..

I see him as the big guy from the goonies,
The la croixs sitting in wait to hank some unsuspecting trader types..
From the distance.. 'HEY, YOOO GUYS!!'..
Just my t'pence

Can you please tell me where to find that in the rulebook?
It's in the mini rulebook.. so, no pictures

Just wondering if there'd be something along the line of Lazarus being dead, so assimilate ends and therefore loses eternal..
Probably not the case..
-
Not to mention the sketch looks to make a very purrty model to boot!

I don't have book 3 yet, but fluff wise, it seems to make abit of sence, cerbs, at least for me, I automatically link to being with Marcus, now rasputina has her own puppy
-
I'm yet to play it out, but is also advise coryphee, throw them frozen heart and there's a fairly quick objective grabber aswell as a decent shock troop.
Id put snowstorm as a must in your average 35+point game,
I think the best advice for any new players would be to Allways keep your objectives in mind, with rasputina you can find yourself lacking movement, meaning the last turn is generally not enough time to snatch objectives last minute..

Hey,
For the 'pult advice, with Mr somer I'd go with 2 rats, 2skeeters, a Taxidermist and obv the pult.. havnt really got time to explain, but im sure you can see the synergy..
Also, expensive as it is, taxi and pult.. totally worth it!

I'm just gonna repeat what's been mentioned above,
The books barely hit the shelf (still waiting for mine in the UK) and there's allready theory faux bashing, perhaps the question is not, 'why does crew a have this? its soo op' but more 'how do I manoeuvre this to my advantage?'
If you want an auto win list, there's some out there, but if the cards aren't with you/you play a rigid list of tactics there will Allways be something to do you..
Besides 1 model does not a crew make..
