Hmm, isn't the burning token bit part of the spit magma weapon rules? If so i would say they would dish out the tokens.. IF it only deals tokens out from a succesfull trigger, then no, it wouldnt apply to the blasts.

I would recommend buying both boxes, its what I did and its leaves you with plenty of choice.

Iv just finished a campaign with this crew (won it) and towards the end of it when people have what your crew can do, down. I found in these situations that people would gear themselves to fight constructs.. so i threw in silurids and bad juju to mess with their heads.. I'm now looking at doing a zoraida swamp list.. mostly for theme, but then, no one ever believes that you really play big z and c for theme.. least not when you've battered them with a million paired dol attacks..

No, any spell with a gun icon is a ranged spell, same as any strike. Otherwise those little blighters would be amazingly hard!

I see the line of thinking, but hex removes the talent untill zoraida is removed.. states on the card. So tour not adding a 'blocking' talent. Your removing it entirely, until as the card states, zoraida is removed from play..

For speed, a zoraida/collodi list has all the movement shennanigans you could want,

Hard hitting, kadeton has it down there.. lillith, with the right cards can devour crews at an astonishing rate.. Kirai takes some getting used to and youl find yourself doing exactly the same actions in the same order with her, at least for the first 2 turns in every game, having said, when she gets goings she's brutal!

Iv had much the same situation and solved it the same way.. i dont personally agree with the idea of replacing a model tho, in my group we put it down to learning your crew a little more, found that if we (I) forgot armour or htw etc.. by not having a 'do-over' gave us (me) more incentive to remember it in the future..

Depends on how quickly you cycle through crews, if like me, you have the bug then starting with lillith could then lead to zoraida..

Perhaps a little insight into what you want from your new crew.. speedy? Combat heavy? Summoning capabailities etc..

I think is just like to see a model release with the books, not everything.. but some models, 1from each faction perhaps.. because for me, the first 3months after book release is all theoryfaux and the 9after is spent waiting.. why not give us something to play with? Hit the tabletop running..

Sorry but can't help to think von hogan is the easy answer.. personally id have more fun in a crew without him, but he is the swiss army knife of malifaux.. depends what you like really.. also youl be REALLY out activated..

And fluff wise, yes Malifaux is very good, but my ultimate favourite is still the WH40k universe.. When written well it is great...I'm loving the Horus Heresy series at the mo!

+1 on the horus heresy.. I think some short novels from minions PoV would keep the tastebuds watering between models..

The effect that applies to the model comes from the terrain piece tho, so similar to (and I'm only drawing similarities) difficult terrain requiring half your movement, to pass through, and fire based yerrain hurts.. this terrain piece keeps you frozen to it for the turn..

I'm not trying to argue, just wrap my head around all the 'ifs and buts'

Here's a thought.. does the additional rule from freeze over count as a terrain rule for that turn? Similar to severe being a terrain rule.. that would mean you cant..
