Drove last time I went there, how far is it from the station? I'm debating the train so I can have a social drink or 2.
-
And I'm mega pleased with the win!
And you said I was being optimistic with my prediction on SST!

Fluffiest Player (this confused everyone so probably won't make an appearance again!)
Mike Marshall
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you everyone for turning up. A big thanks too to Mike Taylor for running the demos and Little Star Miniatures (littlestarminiatures.co.uk) for sponsoring the event and making the prize pool even larger. I hope you all had a good time and I'll be aiming to run another one probably early April. Hope to see you all again soon (Harrogate on 10/03/13 anyone?).
Assuming we don't get too drunk and ramble off topic (because that never happens!), there'll be a recap of events on episode 7 of Soulstone Train.
I can finally get some sleep now, yay!!!!
-
As there are quite a few twitter folk attending I thought I'd get in there early with a hash tag suggestion. In honour of Mr Marshall I reckon #varpartnik could be good.

My wife and i are looking at getting a new coffee table at the minute so i may be able to convince her of this.
There's no way your Mrs will go for that! I on the other hand want one and there's no-one to say no
-
Really nice table, think I might have to pilfer some ideas too
-
Im still waiting to take some decent pics using a friends light box so should look a bit nicer.
Now I've got that I guess I've got no excuse for not posting my own stuff.

As entry into Vappa is covered in the ticket price, how do we actually get into the show?
There'll be a list at the door, just say you're there for the Malifaux tourney and they'll cross your name off the list.
-
Great idea, prepare to get beaten by my mech rider
-
Looks like I will be coming to this.

It's a bit late as it's been out a few days but episode 5 of Soulstone Train is now available on soulstonetrain.podbean.com and on iTunes.
For those of you that don't already know (which will be most of you!), SST is a bit different to most Malifaux podcasts. It's a bit more light hearted and a lot less sober.
In this episode we do the usual Twitter questions and hobby updates, discuss predictions for our next couple of tournaments, have an in depth look at Kirai, discuss terrain (recorded before the last Malifools episode cam out) and have a chat with Iron Skies about a few things. We also go off on a really strange tangent (that's normal for us) and Shane gets really drunk.
Episode 6 is getting recorded on Sunday so as ever, any questions you'd like answering just post below.

If you dont see anything on the site just pm chris
Is that Carl's evil twin?
-
I'm at 2 tournaments already in March, hopefully I'll be able to find the cash for a 3rd as I really enjoyed the last one.
-
At last count I had roughtly 270 models so I'd be surprised if I didn't top 1,000SS. My percentage painted is nowhere near though, think is was 25%-30% at last count.
-
good to see someone manning up and actually using Molly
Now that there's a ticket free, maybe we can get a proper Molly pllayer up for the event. Anyone know if Will Lambert is free?
-
We've had a player drop out so there's now an available ticket for this.
-
Was a cracking day, a really well organised event and a good venue. My round 2 game against Alex was the most enjoyable game I've had in a long time and good to meet some new players.
-
Excited
Me too, I just hope the weather isn't a factor!
-
I always enjoy Toy Soldier, waitresses bring tea to the table! *grin*
Yeah, I'm sure it was the tea that you were liking!
Jo - I'll be there. If you're the TO it falls to you to pass out at a bus stop and play 40k this year.
-
The plan is to properly kick this off straight after dead of winder finishes. As Craig said, we're going to talk through some ideas and I'll knock up a rules pack, etc so we all know we're playing properly (mainly for the benefit of us Brits). Feel free to get in plenty of practice games and trash talk is also encouraged.

Latest malifaux order I made hasnt arrived in time :S Does anyone have a copy of the voodoo doll, and convict gunslinger stat cards, that I can borrow tomorrow?
(infact, if the 'store' shop is open I can pick them up then, just dont want to turn up with my crew and not be able to use it )
I'll pack both too just in case.
-
Little Star Miniatures are taking a good stock, including all of the new releases. Their stand is right near where the Malifaux tournament is.
-
No Soulstone Train or the upcoming Malibros? Is this list only for sober podcasts?
-
Really like the gunslinger and the reposed Misaki. Bit disappointed to not see white roses on the effigy though (Yorkshire pride and all that).
