Well, I had some (right, a lot of) free time, so I'm almost done with my goal for this month, only Alyce to go. Time for some pics!

Steampunk Arachnids

Since I don't really like the original sculpt for them, I used something different...Necron Scarabs! I love those cute little buggers There are blue arachnids and a blue swarm, red arachnids and a red swarm, and I'll be adding green arachnids as an extra to the other crew members' bases.

On the blue one you can see how these little things are made. Ramos summons them? Nah, that's a lie

Mobile Toolkit

It's kinda the same thing with the arachnids, the original sculpt looks a bit...strange. AND since it can give a :tomes to Ca, I found it fitting to make it actually carry a book. The other one has a toolbox...

Rusty Alyce (WIP)

Had to find some use for the AUSCON Steampunk Dorothy...yeah, she has no mechanical limbs, but she looks great anyway! I think I'll paint some part of her clothes with rust-like colours 'cause of her name. Oh, and her base is done.

I think that's it for now...oh, and I got the bases "assembled" (right, added scarabs on them) for Ramos (alternate), Electrical Creation and the Steamborg. Will order them in a few days (yeah, GenCon!!)

During our last game, a few questions came up...

1. If Rusty Alyce chooses to use Ramos' casting at the start of the game (because of Impressionable), does she still get the 8 Ca if Ramos dies?

2. If you are in melee range of a breakable terrain piece (like Ice Pillars), can you choose to shoot it, or do you have to destroy it in melee?

3. I can't really remember that, will add it later, it was about the Suppy Wagon strategy.

3.a - I'm sure that the answer is yes, but can the Wagon be damaged by area damage?

How did you make the tesella coils on the casket?

Those were made of office pins, beads and plasticard circles.

BTW, what did you use to make the rivets? Most of the other materials I recognize, but I can't put a finger on those.

Well, that is AWESOME. Puts my Freikorps display base to shame...

Just about every time I greenstuff and finish one spot I turn the model around and mash said spot with my thumb while working on new part...

That happens to me all the time too...

Greatest mess up? Well...it was a hot, bright, sunny day, I varnished my newly painted Showgirls, left them to dry on the balcony. Then I went to take a shower...when I finished, it was kinda the storm of the year outside, that knocked my minis on the ground...of course they were broken with lots of paint chippings. I couldn't get myself to touch up the paint job since then

I think they are going to have red hair and I just painted the skin kind of blue-grey, but Im not sure what they will look like in the end - I hopefully a little more like vampires than like chunks of colour^^

Finally I've been able to get myself to take some (REALLY BAD) photos of the painted LadyJ&Sonnia crews (painted them in less than 3 days...).

I think it will be to have one (or two) complete crew(s) by the end, the 50SS requirement wouldn't be good, because it's not a Malifaux-only Tale

Oh, and I guess I'll be doing Kaeris and/or Viktorias too in addition to Ramos.... (I "must" do that, since it takes about 3 or 4 days for me to paint a 35 SS crew...)

+1 for that! The Showgirls is one of the prettiest group of minis I've ever seen, and it's pure joy to paint them! (well, we could say the same for many more crews...I had a real good time painting everything for Malifaux!)

That LadyJ is gorgeous! Thanks for giving me some inspiration for painting my friend's one (but it's not even half as beautiful as yours...)

Then you can add me to the list! I'll go with a Ramos crew, and anything I pick up after Book3 comes out - for one of my crews, or for my friend's guild one. Oh, and I'm on warseer too! (Guess I'll have to buy some new things every month - I painted my friend's guild crew - the Sonnia&LadyJ boxes - in three days... )

I might even join this, wanted to order my Ramos crew (and some...well...a lot of things that come with Book3) in august anyway...by the way, is it a problem if there are non-Wyrd (GW...yeah, shoot me - and the AUSCON Dorothy ) minis in the crew?
