  1. Hit 50 members in the group this weekend. We've got Henchmen from a few different stores posting events in the group from Detroit down to Toledo.
  2. Thank you for the immediate mental image of the Swarmlord squaring off against LCB.
  3. Yeah I love them too. I've used their bases on three different crews now and they all turn out looking great.
  4. I tend to never take Candy with Pandora's Avatar. I just let her manifest when Pandora does. I don't switch much in my normal crew (Pandora, 2x Insidious Madness, 2x Stitched Together, Lilitu, Doppelganger, and Primordial Magic) when I bring the avatar. I just drop the Primordial Magic to add the avatar, since it get's sacrificed when she manifests, which I try to do as quick as possible.
  5. The librarian is awesome with Kirai, even at 9ss. With the librarian you never have to worry about mismanaging her wounds. After a turn of summoning I can usually have Kirai back to full health by the end of the turn. Lost Love casts (1) Pass Beyond on her turn 1-2 and she's a spirit also for the rest of the encounter to use in Kirai's trickery. Arcane reservoir is always nice too.
  6. Added a few new pictures, and got the bases for my Ramos crew this weekend too, here's a sneak peek:
  7. +1 on the Stitched Togethers. Why bring him on his own? He doesn't use soulstones much, if at all, in my experience. He doesn't need them defensively very often since you can just pass attacks off to your marionettes, and he doesn't do any attacking since his puppets do all the work for him. I'd recommend bringing him as a henchman with Zoraida. They have a lot of synergy. I usually bring his box set + Zoraida + 2x Stitched Togethers. Makes for a very mobile trickery-filled crew!
  8. We had something similar come up tonight. Nicodem cast a ranged spell at a model in melee, flipped cards to randomize, and wound up targeting a model that was out of range. We dug through the rules manual and came up with this. Strike sequence: Declare target, then check LoS/range. Randomize: Lowest card becomes new target. Thus: Upon checking range (after determining the target) the new target is out of range, so spell misses. Input?
  9. I've had a LOT of success with the Facebook group I created for the Toledo area, so I'm expanding it out to all Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan players, if you want to be added, just follow the link and request to be added. We have close to 50 players in the group right now, and more are added every week! Events are run at my FLGS in Toledo monthly, and many more stores in the area are starting to host events. http://www.facebook.com/groups/118344641581827/ Come on in and stay a while, this has been a great tool for organizing, networking, and planning events!

  16. Welcome! The great thing about Leveticus, Hoffman, and Ramos is that once you expand beyond the box sets, many models are useful across all three masters.
  17. I was born with some useful natural abilities, painting is not one of them, luckily I have quite a few talented commission painters in my area, here's some of my work, and theirs: Painted by me: Painted by Brian Burchett: Painted by Vince Curkov (HopelessHeretic): This is my wife's crew. Painted by Dan'O Amonette (Deadpool): On my painting table: Ramos, Kaeris, Colette Out for painting: Lilith, Zoraida, Collodi On Deck: Seamus, McMourning, Molly Edit, November 5th: Added pictures of Viktorias and Friekorps. Edit, November 9th: Added pictures of Ashes and Dust. Edit, November 20th: Added Mech Rider, Canine Remains, Killjoy, and Flesh Construct
  18. Yeah, I registered as undecided. It's in the dropdown.
  19. My team entry might end in divorce, we never do well playing against each other, maybe playing WITH each other will be a different story.
  20. Latest count has seven of us coming up from Toledo. Nothing like a good old fashioned Ohio/Michigan rivalry starting... Too bad I'm a Wolverines fan, I might have to side with the Michigan folks.
