  1. I would definately take old Perdita over new.

The greens of Candy look much better then the pics but still I think it's a disappointment, she just looks like she's raging and there is nothing to tie her to younger Candy.

What's been bothering me is the faces, mainly the women. Alt Sonia Crid, Miss Demeanor, Zoraida avatar, new Candy, and a couple others just do not look proper. The lips don't look natural, the faces too wide. I just hope they put the brakes on at Wyrd and really look at some of the new models and see how they've changed in style.

I get the feeling that the Victorian/Gothic side of Malifaux is moving towards SciFi/Fantasy, I hope I'm wrong on that.

  2. Cookies work better than cheese any day.

    In discussion.

And this is something I really appreciate about Wyrd as a whole. No quick off the cuff answers to satisfy questions, you take the time to find out how the answer will effect the game and come to a logical conclusion. I've stopped playing other TT mini games to concentrate on Malifaux for reasons just like this. Many thanks WS!

btw: I just started playing Zoraida and would be fine either way.

  3. Zoraida's

    (1) Repulsive (CC: 10

M/Rst: Wp /Rg: p6) Push all models directly away

from this model until they reach the maximum range of this spell.

To be fair I haven't played her much but from what I've experienced so far not many unfriendly models get very close to her and going by the threads I've seen if they do get that close your probably using her incorrectly. And most any model could still charge/2x walk to get back into melee range at 6" range. JMO, I could be missing something.

  4. I am not a good painter, not very good at all. Some of my best models took days to finish and even then they were just ok. Add to this I haven't really painted anything in 2+ years. A friend (XCoconutMonkey6X) posts a method he is employing for his Kirai crew, says it's pretty easy. I scoff at this statement, nothing concerning a brush & paint is "easy" to me. But not wanting to continue to use bare minis on the table I decide to give it a shot, worst thing happens they come out looking like crap which is the norm for me, but to my amazement they look pretty good. Not great mind you, not much attention to detail, but my thought was to get it done at the lowest level of effort and see what the result is. I have yet to decide how to do the basing but not a major concern for me at this point. My main reason for posting is to give others who are like minded proof that anyone can get a model in tabletop shape with minimal effort & stress.

The method (which I'm sure is well known) is this:

1.Spray white primer over the entire model.

2.Using just the inks from GWs 8 pot set I hit areas with whatever color I thought would work.

    Done!

I started out with a light coat and some spots I had to go over a 2nd time but the ink dries quickly so there's not a lot of down time. Time to go from bare metal to this point for all the models was roughly 2 hrs but maybe not even that long. There are obvious mistakes and some color choices (green boots????) weren't the best but considering everything I'm happy witht he results.

So to anyone to thinks they can't paint, yes you can! :)

  5. I haven't played Hordes in sometime and I just want to concentrate on Malifaux for now. Before I list I want to let you know that none of the models have bases and I checked but there are a few smalls part missing. I had them in a box with other stuff for awhile and cannot find them. Also all models are built but unpainted.

    1 Morghoul

    1 Xerxis

    1 Titan Gladiator

    1 Bronzeback Titan

    2 Cyclops Savage

    5 Cataphract Cetrati

    7 Paingiver Beasthandlers

Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (2 models)

I'm looking for Freikorps boxset, Trapper, Teddy or cash.

    Please PM me any offers.

    Thanks!

  6. Very nice, thanks for posting this match. I have Ramos and Zoraida but have yet to use Z. I forgot that Focus & Channel were available to all models, something I have to remember when I start using Z. I always learn something major or minor from every bat rep!

  7. Gamer: 95%

    Modeler: 5%

    Painter: less then 0%

I love to game whether it's 360, TT, board games, etc.

Painting just isn't fun for me, I do not have very good skills and I do not have the patience to improve. It seems every time I sit down and tell myself to take time and do it right, the moment I screw up something it's immediate frustration and I walk away. In fact I'm trying to fire myself up to sit down and get my Malifaux figs painted but I have paint anxiety.
