  1. Hi,

Personally I think it's a shame that something with the potential to unite is already dividing.

I find myself agreeing with this sentiment. The fact that players think it's so important to win at all costs is a real shame and just not what I'd hoped Malifaux would be about.

I look forward to non-competative events where those not worried about being regarded as the best can play a game for fun.

  2. If we get more than six I'll make a decision based on the clubs interested, their players (yes, looking at rankings) and practicality. However it's worth bearing in mind this is to find the best club, so skill level of the teams is very important and the final six will simply be the best contenders.

Is this for real? Are you saying that a club can only take part if it subscribes to the Rankings? Surely a club event can be friendly affair where you play each other to make friends and play new people rather than just go all out for the win.

I would have thought there was scope to widen the concept of 'best' away from purely the one who posts the biggest win.

  3. Hi Fluffy Robot,

I'll PM you, but for the benefit of anyone else in the area as well:

It's at the Thomas Wall Centre on Benhill Avenue (postcode SM1 4DP). It's quite central, only a couple of streets back from the High Street, behind the St Nicholas Centre.

Starts at 6, goes on 'til 10, usually £2.50 to attend but first time's free, so nothing to lose :) People play pretty much anything, including Magic, 40k, Infinity, various roleplay games, and of course Malifaux. Everyone's welcome, it's pretty informal, just turn up and play.

    Hi there

I'm in Sutton too and get my Malifaux fix at the Clapham club as mentioned by Poulpox above. I could be tempted into heading down to the Monday night session too as it's local - what's the turn out like and age range?
