  1. Another great option (for both metals & plastics) is Super Clean. It comes in a big purple bottle. You can find it at most supermarkets, like Fred Meyer & such.

    Soak your minis in there for 24 hours or so, and the paint sloughs off (soak longer if they've had paint on them for months and months). Get a toothbrush, scrub, and voi-la! Good as new, no paint on 'em.

    Just make sure to wear gloves, as Super Clean is an intensely concentrated cleaner and may dry out your hands to the point of cracking.

    I used to use this and yes, USE GLOVES! Also soak the mini in water for a while after to get all of the cleanser off or you will have a white powder seeping through your new paint job a couple of months later.

    I use simple green now.
