But I'm not dead yet...

They keep moving things in and out. Must have a contract with a moving company or something.

Hello! care for a lollypop?
I don't know, my momma told me never to accept candy from strangers.
-
Let me guess, the refrigerators are for the parts.

Howdy all, just dropping by because a little Guildy told me to.

This looks fantastic. I can't wait to add one to my crew.

Nathan confirmed... all nightmares will be METAL
Good, less breakage that way.

Well done. I like the paint and base work too.
-
Wow! That's a big change for such a "simple" conversion.

Sorry for the thread necromancy but I just picked up one of these and this thread is very helpful. It looks daunting at first but Tauboy's directions are very good.

This is an interesting discussion.
We tried a 70 minute, 25 SS game last night and only manged 3 turns before time ran out. I determined that I really need to learn my models abilities better.

Well done!

It's been a blast going through and checking out the different puppet avatars and now it's gotten me wanting to see/get a hold of the minis and play a few games.
My wife's going to kill me and Fell's going to have more painting to do.

Thanks! I have an Abomination I'm trying to paint jeans on and I was stuck trying to get the look right.
-
Well done. I wish I had done that with my arachnids. Maybe with the next pack.

Good stuff!
I wish the buildings in the archive were still available. I'm liking the ruined inn and the abandoned factory.

And Eric, not everyone up here plays Guild. I'm an Anarchist (Ramos & Collette) but I also have the Freikorps too.

Mainiacs unite! LOL!
Welcome to the boards Kory. I need to make it into the store to play a game with you. Are you going to be in the tourney thing Fell's running?

I just wish they were brass.

Another great option (for both metals & plastics) is Super Clean. It comes in a big purple bottle. You can find it at most supermarkets, like Fred Meyer & such.
Soak your minis in there for 24 hours or so, and the paint sloughs off (soak longer if they've had paint on them for months and months). Get a toothbrush, scrub, and voi-la! Good as new, no paint on 'em.
Just make sure to wear gloves, as Super Clean is an intensely concentrated cleaner and may dry out your hands to the point of cracking.
Actually, why don't we just go whole hog and link to the paint removal tutorial where I first heard of Super Clean: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Modeling_FAQ:_How_to_Strip...
I used to use this and yes, USE GLOVES! Also soak the mini in water for a while after to get all of the cleanser off or you will have a white powder seeping through your new paint job a couple of months later.
I use simple green now.

Thanks for the info. There are some good tips that I wasn't using in that.

Hmmm, I was wondering what color to paint Colette's dress. This may work.
-
Thanks for the info all. I like the basing stamp, but not for this project. I'm going to have to check into shipping if before I buy though, looks like they're across the ponds from me.

Werecat has the right of it; Alyce (Meg) and Toolkit ( Squire).
For my Gunsmith I used Freebooter's Doc Taranto:
I like the Doc. May have to get one my self.
