Actually, that ruling was made with V1 Link, V2 link (including on the Sorrows) has no such restriction. It would have to take two turns leaving all the models in close proximity. Additionally Link ends when the linked models are not in base contact at the Start Closing Phase, so you would only really be able to do that trick for one turn unless you kept Cassandra and Miranda right next to each other.

I believe this to be slightly underhanded, however I don't see a rule that disallows it.

The only rule that even comes close is that players cannot look through discard piles. You could make the argument that you wouldn't know if the player had the Black Joker in his or her hand, which would have prompted the same decision based on assumption. I know I always hold on to my Black Joker if I have it in hand. Best you guys could do is house rule it if you feel it's an underhanded strategy. My opinion is that it is just as legitimate as counting cards (which is more or less what you were doing, making a decision bassed on high probability that your opponent would flip the Black Joker.)

I like to pitch Zoraida against Rasputina for demos with the shared claim jump strategy. The minions tend to be very well matched, and it usually winds up being master on master at the end. Gives a nice sampling of ranged and melee attacks, triggers, and spells.And everyone loves ice pillars!

The rider's mounted combat action is a great way to go around the coryphee's immunity to charges :-)

Let us not forget the Ronin's ability that says she can't be a Henchman. Perhaps book 3 will have rules for promoting our current models into henchmen. Then again, that ability could just be a Red Herring...

It really depends on why you want to pick up the game. If you just want to play the game with friends on occasion, a box set per person should be fine

My players tend to be competitive players or hobbyists. Both tend to fill out at least one faction, though hobbyists tend to be the first to expand even farther because of models they want just to paint, and at that point, they tend to get whatever else they need to play those models

Reconnect must target like a normal spell, so in the doll's line of sight, not Z's. It can target friendly models, and the model will receive poison 2 at the end of the turn (notice it's not immediate) If the voodoo doll is not in play at the end of the turn, the poison does not apply

That part of obey always existed, the wording was added for clarification, though it was changed to say non-master. Bending bullets was changed from ignore los to ignore cover, but that was in the errata before v2 cards.

Perhaps someone who didn't check the errata would see the change to bending bullets as Cuddling her.
