Oh, so now Austringers can target Slurids without LOS? Interesting development....
BUT I've seen it mentioned that a model that ignores los ignores cover, otherwise, it's always be hardcover (being that there's blocking terrain) So how does this work with Austringers ignoring los to Silurids?

I don't think so. It's been stated before that the intent of "Companion (Master)" was that the totem can companion with whatever it's attached to. This was important for Henchmen, as they can take a totem (even when not being used as a master) and then companion with it.
That was my thought when I first answered this thread, but it seems everyone else thinks it's Companion (Master [trait]) not Companion ([connected] Master)
So regardless of Viks, this is the root question, and if it's Companion (Master [trait]) does that mean that Henchmen can't Companion their totem?
-
So first, Viks are one master for purposes of strategies and schemes, ruled here:
http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23067
Back to the original question, we've always played that since generic totems are Totem(Master), that Companion (Master) corresponds only to the connected master. But if that's not the case, in a brawl, say could viks, student, tina, and essence all activate simultaneously via companion?

Doesn´t the Magic go whe Zoraida sumens a Voddoo Doll to conduit, since only one Totem can be connected to her?
I think this list would be more effective with Pandora...
And a Tot... who could be used to summon a Lelu...
Actually, a voodoo doll would not be able to be summoned until primordial dies. Pretty sure (2) Summon Voodoo Doll says sac all connected voodoo dolls, not all connected totems. So summoning an additional totem would be illegal
Def need a way to get a lelu, though, as long as the lilitu have more than 3wd left, regen 1 from nekima and healing 2 themselves will cancel out effects of two-sided
-
They were.
But there's still:
Lilitu's Irresistable
Dreamer's Shadowy Form
Hamelin's Indiscriminate Void
Insidious Madness misprint
Primordial Magic never got corrected (bad Ca on back)
And of course the already wrong aKirai dmg...
So new v2's or faction decks?

Rules Manual is really the only thing you need to play, although the new Avatar rules are only in Book 3, though I'm hoping Wyrd will release a PDF of just the basic Avatar rules to go with their Rules Manual PDF

11 Masters in, and the only thing stopping me from picking up more is that poor Leveticus hasn't even been primed yet. Haven't touched Rez or Arcanist...except for miss pack and a silent one for Zoraida. But then I'll get there. Now if only I could play more often...

Chameleon is Cover. Always Watching allows models to ignore Cover. Always Watching wins Chameleon, as does Hunter and Bullet Bending etc.
-Ropetus
Wouldn't Silent beat Always Watching though, since models can't ignore cover (which Chameleon grants)?
-
Additionally, prosecute doesn't make the model non-friendly, out only disallows out from being targeted by spells or abilities that require it to be friendly
-
If you think voodoo doll is disappointing, try getting a zombie chihuahua, doesn't even deserve a blister

The Victorias count as 1 master between them. The Totem would be connected to both of them. They can't each have a seperate conected totem.
but they don't have any rule that says that, like dreamer/lcb do, they only have a rule allowing you to hire two
-
you should only have to make the check for irresistable when targeting with lure. The melee strike is not a separate action
As for blinding flash, I thought I saw on another thread that colette still takes the damage before switching places, but don't quote me on that
-
Forgot to mention though, since Viks have companion with each other, you can still activate all 3 simultaneously, but Student doesn't have companion with both Viks
-
No, Companion(Master) refers only to the connected master, both Viks can't be connected to one totem (as far as I know)
-
I would say no. Prosecute removes the trait 'friendly' for purposes of selecting a target. Because the ability specifically says when 'friendly' doesn't count, the model is still considered friendly.
Think of the Prosecute effect as saying "this model may not be targeted by any ability which requires this model to be friendly"

I only asked why it changed, since it had in fact changed.

The link was to show drew saying that thebugking is wyrd legit, thebugking had said that smell fear overrides the rule, see the first page of this thread
-
Thanks, but as far as I can see, TheBugKing who ruled ( in the post you mention ) that one can charge under Smell Fear, is not an official ruler, while Ratty is ... :dontknow:
According to sketch, TheBugKing is, or at least was a Wyrd employee, see: http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showpost.php?p=125839&postcount=2
So why does Smell fear no longer override the no charging in melee rule?
-
And only because I've seen it argued before, "exact"means as exact as you can get with a measuring tape, physics arguments have no place here

I got into Malifaux just after the Gremlinette was retired, and I'd really like to find one to complete my gremlins (I love these guys). I have a lot for trade, just tell me what you want. I'm also willing to pay for one if you're willing to sell.
-
Actually, $70 is the price for the large Magic: the Gathering style playmats, this one is mousepad size (so it actually fits on a minis table) and is more like 30 depending on how much detail you want, she did some paint on mine to give it that rusty feel

Had this made by a local artist:
Has a turn counter, SS pool counter, and a spot for your draw and discard to protect the puppet deck.
You can contact her at
@TheMarkerzStore on twitter
markerz.etsy.com
Update:Artist has confirmed she will give free shipping to Malifaux Players within the U.S.

OK, well, the thread at the link below is the one I was thinking of, and Keltheos pointed out pretty well how it worked with Maintain Machines, but he never came back and answered it in terms of Assimilate. I think it was pretty obvious that the intent was the same for both though.
http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20640&highlight=assimilate&page=2
How do you feel that he intended the same for both? He only clearly defined "listed" as it applies to maintain machines. As (0)Assimilate doesn't use the word "listed" I don't believe the ruling can apply.
As for Assimilating Reactivate, RAW seems to allow it.

I think it's the "Instead"that makes it an alternative deployment, and not an in game ability

Two things- daydream 3 cannot be summoned more than 6"away anyway due to summoning rules
Unless I missed something, daydream 3 would not be able to simultaneously activate, which will give your opponent an activation before you can get dreamer to safety, better to keep a tome for the All Done trigger
