  1. Three problems with your plan.

    1. If you use the Belle's slow to Die 1 action to sacrifice her, she will not drop a Corpse Counter.

    2. Rule of Equivalency states that you may only place one unit for your Belle's death, meaning you'd have to chose between Bete and Killjoy.

    3. Although Soul Stones for Seamus are more of a commodity than a necessity, the cost of a Bete + Killjoy crew will leave you with very few units.

Killjoy has a decent survivability and Bete can be technically invulnerable but the trio of Killjoy, Bete Noir, and Seamus with the possibility of another Belle do not a long lasting crew make.

Perdita, for example, would rip you a new one quickly, very quickly.

Realize also that Black Blood would damage your units as well because they are not Neverborn.

Your best bet would be to simply drop killjoy from that list and pick up Belles and the possible addition of your Copy Cat or even Sybelle.

Though, due to the sheer massive damage output that crew would have, if you could quickly drop your opponent's master, things may go smoother.

  2. Thankfully, Molly makes Seamus playable.

    ????

    Seamus makes Seamus playable.

    His Belles make him dangerous.

    Bete Noir makes him lethal.

    Molly makes him... Dangerous-er?

The only thing I can see Molly overly useful for is her ability to revive Madame Sybelle.

And the only thing I see Madame Sybelle useful for is bringing out Bete Noir.

    And maybe Shriek.

Seamus has a counter to nearly every strategy in this game.

His Belles fill in the gaps.

He may have a slightly larger learning curve due to the wording of some abilities, spells, et cetera that his army has access to, but he is in no way unplayable.

  3. Man does this destroy my Nicodem list.

    -jay

    Not really.

They made Exhume not suck anymore for Mortimer.

You can now cheat the second part, which allows you to pump out more corpse counters.

Although, it is still very dandy to kill the doggies.

Because they only cost two SS which is far cheaper than anything other than a totem and still drop a corpse counter.

  4. I suppose I should've included his arguement, sorry.

I showed him that part of the errata

And he states that the only way it would work would be by activating my Belle's first.

    And

    Here.

The way he rebuked it with me is,

Replace description with “When activating this model(Sybelle), if it is

within 6” of (Sybelle), this model and any number of other

friendly (Sybelle) within 6” may receive Simultaneous

Activation. Complete this model’s activation before continuing

to the other model(s’) activation(s). A model may receive

Companion (model) during the course of another model’s

activation. In this case the model receiving Companion

(model) activates immediately following the end of the other

(model’s) activation as per Simultaneous Activation

    Yadayada.

He's basically trying to say that because Seamus does it, nothing happens.

And Sybelle's card, at least mine, doesn't explicitly say Companion(Belle/Sybelle)

And so he states that Seamus has no way of activating them all together as none of them, including Sybelle, have Companion (Seamus) and that is the Companionship that Sybelle is recieving. :/

  5. I fully understand the concept of linking companion in order to activate multiple units before your opponent can go.

Let me give whoever so chooses to be a wise pervayer of knowledge an exact rundown of what my dilemma is.

I currently run my 35SS games with

    Seamus

    Sybelle

    Bete Noir

    Rotten Belle - x4

    Copycat

    I've been attempting to

    Activate Seamus

    (0) action Womanizer - Sybelle

    Which should in turn

Activate all four of my Belles, correct?

I have tried to explain that

Because Seamus is recieving Companion (Sybelle)

And his Belle's have, Companion (Sybelle)

They too will activate after Seamus and Sybelle,

But he refutes this and refuses to allow it.

And so I've been proxying that by Activating a Belle and then companioning her with Sybelle.

Which is generally detrimental to my plans.

I have searched these forums and they provide no undeniable proof as to the legality of this action; though I know that it can legally be done within the parameters of the rules.

Please, someone with greater knowledge than I, explain this to me in a way that I may explain it to my opponent.

  6. For just a general 35 point scrap; scheme notwithstanding.

My starting lineup has currently bee,

    Seamus - 2pt cache

    Madame Sybelle - 6 points.

    Mortimer - 7 points.

Copy Cat Killer - 2 points.

    And Rotten Belle - 4 points x3

I'm thinking of a few different things I could tamper with,

One being swapping a Belle or two for a Convict Gunslinger and some bonus SS.

Though that isn't why I'm posting.

Whether I take the convict or not,

Is it good to pair Seamus and Mortimer up to factory out several Belles before really engaging anything?

If no, please feel free to give me a better strategy. :D
