Really great detail work with your paint,

seriously a combination of the right washes will make your piece look so amazing!

I've decided I like this model so much that I'll end up getting a couple more so I can play around with different ideas.

I'm with you, once I got started, I really enjoyed the process of painting it

The illustration of Izamu does not feature a face.

The Kit DOES come with a head

I rather like the face

It gave me an actual point to have the "Light" eminating from other than just the arrows...

I tried to mimic the art work as best as I could... since it seems WYRD is no longer doing studio paints...

Hey what happened to all the great studio painted minis?

I love the new plastics and I think it's great to see all the CG rendered stuff...

but

I'd also like to see it some pro painted stuff!

I agree on the dragon forge designs

A combination o father "trench boards" set and the wastelands II set are solid

I plan to also incorporate some of the new crux machnia in my crews as well

Check lobostele's thread on his theater

he did some amazing stuff

having played on it multiple times...I would suggest taking STRONG consideration of making it modular like lobostele did... but also to plan for how players will be able to look into the field for LOS judgmentrs and how they will be able to manipulate their models during play

Try using a "stipling" techinque

take an older, used 3/0 brush that's been beaten up a bit and trim it in half-EVENLY

I do NOT reccoment using a New Brush that's been designed for stipling as they are much to firm and will chip off the foundation paints

might be nice alternative to ice golem. Sorry if you already know about it.

I actually REALLY Like this one

they have an alternative fig that's made form CLEAR resin on CMON
