  1. Been working on them over the past couple days, it sticks fine enough, I've concluded I just hate GS...

    That line down the front of Yamaziko is killer. I thought I had covered it up but primer proved me wrong. Attempt #2 pending.

    Having the same problem. Thinking of just painting her, but I know its just going to annoy me every time I see it. I guess I will have to just try more liquid greenstuff.

  2. Interesting thread! I'm seriously looking forward to the release of McCabe and his Guild compatriots from Book 4 - it looks like they'll work very nicely with my existing Guardsmen and Lucius.

    I think McCabe and Lucius are going to be a good combo. You can move Lucius 15 ( casting issue command on himself) and then cast reinforcements on McCabe. McCabe has now moved 19" before he has even started, great for treasure hunter and other movement strats.

    McCabe spell which lowers defence and WP is also going to be great. Austringers strike at CB9 with Lucius, which against a enemy that has been hit by braying of hounds is going to mostly likely hit. The WP debuff could also help the Lawyer and I think McCabe has a spell that can speed up some models.

    Very much looking forward to McCabe Lucius and a ton of hounds.

  3. They look good. Your friend did a good job, I just wish that shang was on a 40mm base. His feet hanging over is kind of annoying for me personally.

    I agree, I cant stand models with feet that hang over the base. I know its a pet peeve but due to it I am considering not fielding him.

    Great models, just started on mine today, doing them in the yellow and black scheme on the cards. Really like Yamaziko's base, just wish her foot was not in mid air.

  4. Personally I think the Stitched Together is fine, the only problem I saw or heard people talking about was it not giving you VPs.

    Other than that, I think it is fine. Yes people would still take them if they were 6ss , but I dont think they are overpowered at all.

    Do people think it is too powerful ?

    Edit: Had a quick look over the changes and like a few dont like some, which is to be expected. Personally not a fan of Collodi's changes as it makes him boring to play, but I can see the reasons for it.

  5. Hoffman is terrible against Pandora. Immune to influence dissapears within 12 inches of her. Even if it didn't it wouldnt help you target her because it only counts when you're the defender.

    For the record Talos beat me. Sonnia just kept stopping my spells going off. A good game and a good learning experience.

    I agree Hoffman is not great against Pandora or most neverborn I find.

    Against Pandora his immune to influence is pointless and as stated only works when defender.

    His crew does have ok WP normally 5-6 but his crew is very small . Pandora loves small elite crews as she can easily dictate how you active with incite etc.

    Hoffman's crews also rely quite a bit on high armour but when Pandora is pinging you for 1 damage she does not really care about armour.

    Yea was a great game, learned quite a lot in it. Learned that Self loathing on Sonnia is pretty funny.

    Sonnia I really do think is one of the best counters to Pandora. Counter Spell is great, you just need to keep everything within 3" of Sonnia.

    Late game I moved Sonnia out a bit and left some of my forces out of the counter spell bubble. Pandora took advantage of this and decimated them.

    I did find I was using most of my hand on counter spell, but I was focussing on just shutting down Pandora and focussing on the strat and scheme.

    The Witchling Handler was great, although harder than I thought to keep her within 3" of the witchlings to get the plus flip on WP. I mostly just used her to move my witchlings around and goad them for plus damage flips.

    All in all I really like my list above but there are some problems. First I was very very luck with my cards and Cunningstunt was very unlucky. Alot of black jokers appearing and I got very lucky with a Red Joker on Sonnia damage flip, also getting control of Jack Daw pretty much swung the game in my favour.

    Having shared Claim jump helped as I could just swamp the area with Witchlings, So I had 3 different anti magic auras around the claim(Sonnia,Witchling,Witchling Handler). Meaning if Pandora got close it would be 3 negative flips to cast at -2 to casting.

    Also you will never know if you are facing Pandora just neverborn. While this list works against Pandora and I think would be good against Collodi , it will suffer against Dreamer or Lilith.

  6. Lady J was my first thought due to Blind Justice. The idea was to have the proxy casting it on two austringers and have them target Pandora.

    A few problems I found, one is Lady J is just perfect for Self Loathing and with the change to Mental Anguish the gov proxy could end up killing alot of my models.

    Perdita I also considered as See the Unseen is just made for Pandora, but could not come up a crew I like with her. I suppose I dont need to go all family its just they have high WP, my old fear is using a small elite crew against Pandora.

    I also looking into some how getting Jack Daw in somehow.

    Pinning down Pandora to keep her in the auras does look like a hard challenge, but I do love witchlings so its hard to not put some in my list. They could also help with the rest of the crew, as I keep forgetting I wont just be facing Pandora but I guess Twins,madness,doppleganer & sorrows.

  7. Right I am ressing this thread. I know people dont like people bring up old threads, but this thread has alot of great info in it and it seems pointless to start another.

    So I am asking if Book 3 increased our chances against Pandora.

    The model I have my eye on is the Witchling Handler. She gives all witchlings within 3" a plus flip to WP which could make it easier to get off Reflect Magic. She is also able to push the witchling and increase its charge range by 2".

    Giving a threat range of 13" and a plus flip on damage.

    A question on Words Written it just says "Push a friendly model with the Witchling Characteristic up to 4" towards nearest enemy", there is no range it just says friendly model, so I guess as long as you have LOS you can push a witchling ?

    She is also able to distort magic which gives a -2 on enemy casts with a suit of your choice and stops them using triggers unless they discard a card. This added with Witchlings Disrupt magic could be nasty for pandora if you are actually able to get her close enough.

    So do you think a Witchling Handler with a few witchlings could be a good counter to Pandora.

    Its a bit different from my normal list, but the hounds should deal with schemes and strat ( does depend what they are, may change them out) then I will use them to trigger blasts from sonnia. The Witchlings will move up with the Handler and sonnia. I will try and use Sonnia's counterspell to keep a few models safe.

    So a good idea, or doomed to failure ?

    Also want are people's views on Sue in a guild list against neverborn

  8. on the new Miss model, I am pretty excited about it being Guild as I have not had a reason to pick up the other miss models.

    Going through the guild line, I am thinking its going to be an Alt witchling handler. Could be another guardsmen but with 3 models already and one female I am not so sure. Unless its a model from Book 4 which I dont think it will be, I am guessing Witchling Handler, although with Wyrd you are never quite sure.

    Edit: Just realized I am going to be on holiday during Gen Con, so no special models for me. Also got to save up for said holiday, so look like my Gen Con fund is gone.

  9. Really looking forward to the Ten Thunders Faction. Find it a bit odd they are their own faction, thought they could slip into outcasts. I guess as their own faction they can have more masters or options.

    Will be interesting to see which sort of playstyle they go for.

    I am just really hoping for just one or two more Guild Elite division, Lucius needs new toys, a heavy hitter would be nice as Ryle is pretty useless.

  10. Got him for Christmas so looking forward to using him. I really like the model and the fluff but gamewise he is not good. The main problem is his movement not sure how he got past playtesting with a 3" walk. In a full game where he does not use his (0) action he can only move 36" in an entire 6 turn game and that is using all his AP for just walking . In a game that is all about moblity that is just not good enough. He does not really have the range to stay back and give fire support and he does not have the wounds to use his (0) much .

    All in all, he is a nice model with nice fluff and would be quite fun in a friendly game but he wont see the table in any competive sense.
