The 2? hole plastic bases seem strange with 1 prong metal figures,

I believe they were going for a button look for their bases, with the two holes representing where the string would go through to fasten.

I might be missing something here, but where are you guys getting the random thing from? Are you guys talking specifically about the teddy? If so, I can kind of see where you are coming from, but I have a feeling it is about the contents of the boosters themselves. Like every one else said, puppet wars is not a faction based game as much as malifaux, and it is okay for the boosters to come with an assortment of factions, since you are able to play a game with them.

If you are playing puppet wars for puppet wars, I do not see why you are getting upset over this. If you are only looking for one model, I do not agree with why you are getting upset, since there are actual malifaux figures for everything released in puppet wars, and you would only be getting them for visual purposes.

No offence, but I do not agree with the weight = quality argument. Personally, I like some weight to them, but I would much rather weight my bases than have models that can be rather top heavy. If the materials used were up to me, I would have them in resin, cause while I have not seen Malifaux's current resin minis, I know that a lot of detail can be put into them, from seeing games like Firestorm Armadas minis, or custom minis like those from Sciborg.

I really like Privateer Press's plastic models, but what I would really prefer from wyrd, would be to go to resin models. I prefer resin, over both plastic and metal.
