  1. Hi all!!

Ok. It seems I'm playing I think. So I'm laying this down now

I don't want any of you to have byes at this tournament. So I'm doing this for you!!

I'm going to post ALL the lists later tonight as someone (steve) moaned about my having seen all your lists!!

So that's fine. I will host all of these about midnight tonight and then we are all on even footing.

See if you had invited me to the Masters then you would of had the bye taking champion of England to step into the breach haha :)

  2. I don't think you could Obey for Philosophy of Uncertainty, as it sacrifices the caster.

But still, an auto-kill spell is pretty powerful, I can certainly see why they'd want to stop the potential for there to be 2 or maybe even 3 a turn (Necrotic Machine uses, Molly summons another then uses it herself, then new Necrotic machine uses it - not sure about the AP on that off the top of my head though).

AP wise it is possible however the second machine in that situation would need to be either summoned into 4" of the target or be lured or something to within 4". As they will be summoned with slow.

  3. Making it once per Crew turn also stops it being an Obey target (eg. Hamelin)

If Molly was leading a crew she would be protected by being a master from obey. However I wouldn't like to see balance changes for other factions made on what someone could do to them if they have things like obey.

  4. With Molly's ability to summon a totem there was the potential to get it off multiple times per turn. For instance the totem casts it sucessfully, Molly activates and summons a new totem and then that new totem can cast it again.

you need 3 really decent crows that have got to go down for that or start burning ss not to mention its 2 corpse counters to get the machine back. So if you kill something that is 30mm you need another body and not everything is coming packing living models.

  5. I have had a quick look and I couldn't see it anywhere else but I took my new shiny Seamus crew out for a spin today (don't ask how well it went :P ) but when I was looking over what little Molly could do. I noticed that The Philosophy of Uncertainty now states that it works on non-leader models and can only be cast once per crew turn. Now to be honest I don't really understand the change at all as I cannot see how it could be game breaking even trying to force it through with the necrotic machine.

This also isn't on the malifaux.com changes I think that it should be put up there.

  6. I have used the Snow Storm to pull Marcus out of combat in the past, the only problem is that it doesn't get you very far away unfortunately so you can be charged next turn. However it is better than being in combat if you loose the initiative.

The buff I have taken from Feral is +2df I always like to be prepared in case the main man gets himself hit.

  7. Thanks all :) it was a pleasure

I will be incognito until Wednesday having a nice rest but will post everything tomorrow. Thanks again

Have a good rest Jo you deserve it for all the hard work :) Thanks to everyone for a fantastic weekend and I left with some fabulous prizes including a deck signed by my personal Marcus hero Craig and met some super duper nice people :)

  8. You have to remember that with the UK being so small it means that the players come across each other more, it probably gives rise to more room for disagreements between the players at the top of the rankings who take such matters seriously, whereas in the US I imagine the top players may be from completely different coastlines and may never even play each other.

I believe one of the pro's put forward of rankings was the drawing in of new players. I'm fairly sure any players taking a look at the system and seeing these threads will not be interested in attending due to the nature of the discourse taking place.

What is it, 3 months in, and there are already arguments about score fixing?

I believe both the events in question are before rankings got introduced and I don't believe for a second that Jo would fix anything. The Malifaux events I have been to run by her have been the best events I have ever been to and everyone should go to them.
