  1. I for one am a huge fan of terrain in the background of model pictures. I think it really makes them much more interesting, especially if you can get the background just a bit out of the field of focus so it blurs just a bit. Nice paint jobs & photos.

  2. It's one of those facts of life, I've not had a problem with any Wyrd products yet but had a few mispacks of PP blisters before. Human error most likely, someone just goofs when packing the clamshell. Fortunately if you don't want to wait you should be able to go download the v2 cards you are missing.

  3. I did a slightly different version of this, no pics yet but I'll get one this weekend. I used the same type of lock washer but just cut off about 1/4 of the circle, then glued it to one foot only. I then drilled a small hole in the 30mm resin base (Micro Arts Studio) to glue in a tiny magnet. Then on the 40mm base I will glue in three small magnets (or maybe one small and one larger magnet). I have yet to prime these guys so the pics may be naked when I post but it's working out well so far. I may even get bold and try removing my original v1 spiders (that had the separate legs) from their bases in an attempt to do the same; I had glued them on long before I saw this thread.

  4. I personally have found that the 1" trays are just too small for a 30mm base so I won't go smaller than 1.5" myself. Even if the model itself is small enough I just don't like the bases sticking out of the foam. I don't think I have a model on 30mm base that won't fit into the 1.5" nicely (including other game systems).

  5. From the modeling side I would stay away from Ramos. The Steamborg Executioner has been a beast for me to assemble. I'm not a rank amateur (I've been modelling Privateer Press stuff for just over two years now) and for someone new to assembling small metal models I would pick a different set. I'm not looking forward to the spiders, either.

  6. I've been playing Warmachine & Hordes for a couple of years now and am just getting into Malifaux now. Are there any masters that I should stay away from until I've got some experience playing? I've seen a couple of threads regarding masters that are good for noobs but I'm curious about which ones are the tricksy ones (Marcus is the only one I've really seen called out).

I want to get a couple of starter boxes since nobody in my area plays yet and I want to learn it, then demo it for my gaming buddies so using a master that is too subtle is not going to help.
