  1. Thank you guys.  I was really annoyed when they changed the rules and stat cards..  That is why I stopped collecting Hordes & Warmachine as I had to reinvest in a new game if I wanted to continue playing it. Oh well, guess I will buy the character decks then..

    Happy gaming.

  2. That's great news Clousseau. Okay, it will be 40 SS and only the single crew can be used... no replacements or changes. We want to do this to make people think about a generic warband. We will start at about 09:45 and hope to be all finished by 16:30 or 17:00 at the latest.

Not too sure if we'll have any prizes on offer, but bragging rights are up for grabs...

There are snacks on campus, but if you wanted a sandwich, there is a Sainsburys not too far away. I suggest mabe stopping there on the way in. There are other fast food outlets about 5-10 minutes away if you'd prefer something different.

Thanks for making the effort to come along as well.

    Cheers

    John

  3. Not been able to catch this show, but I will get it on DVD as the recommendations from friends and the positive reviews have been brilliant.

I am gutted to have missed the show here in the UK. Stoopid TV channels didn't advertise and I think it was shown on the FX channel.

With regards to great zombie movies, I enjoyed the following:

    Dead Snow

    Outpost

    Zombieland

I play McMourning in Malifaux and I reckon that Malifaux has enough in it on which to base a great movie or TV show... Now there's a thought....

  4. Okay chaps now the interest has really kicked in I'd like to update the list:

    1 - John N

    2 - John F

    3 - Paul C

    4 - Dave M

    5 - Tony (from below)

    6 - James G

    7 - Jan

    8 - MagicPockets (Adam)

    9 - Cenotaph (Jarec)

    10 - Dave C

    11 - Stu

    12 - Mike A

Okay, there are about 8 or so more players that have mentioned they'd like to be there with us so we are looking at 20+ players.

Each player will be allowed a single crew list for the day. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but that means crews will need to be created to cater for all options.

We will have a local games shop present (Red Knight Wargames) so if you have forgotten anything, send Mike an email redknightwargames[space][at]yahoo.co.uk (remove the word space and brackets and use the correct symbol) and he can get orders for you.

Thanks again guys for the interest and I hope we will see a lot of people there on the day.

  5. Okay guys

    Thanks to Magicpockets and Tony28.

We plan to have a starter box event for any noobs that would like to take up the game.

For the more experienced players we'll go for 40SS crews. I can field three 40SS crews so I'll have a couple of loaners myself.

I know that a couple of the guys have at least two crews that can meet this SS total.

We'll talk about timings for the games later on.

So come on guys get your crews bolstered to 40SS and join the Rumble in the Bayou event.

  6. Hey there Tony

Good of you to contact us.

We often hold gaming events at the University and there are always "loaner" figures/crews/warbands to borrow from us.

Drop me a line via our website or PM on here and we can sort out a meeting.

If you know of anyone else that would like to partake of our event in January, please let them know.

    Cheers

  7. Hi all

We of the Friday Night Firefight Club in Canterbury in Kent would like to offer people a Malifaux event at the University of Kent.

We will provide the terrain and the tables on which to play. You simply need to bring the figures.

We may even have loan crews and cards for people to borrow if they wanted to simply have a go.

    Free entry and free parking.

We will start at about 10:00am and go on for three rounds.

This is a chance to meet some gamers into Malifaux.

More details will be provided depending on the numbers coming.

  9. Hi all

I played this game once and was smitten. This game is like a vampyre in that once it gets its teeth into you, it hypnotises you into buying the figures...

I am part of a gaming group down here that plays many games and we organise a lot of "tournaments". They may be called tournaments, but they are essentially a group of us getting together and rolling some dice and talking rubbish with a group of like minded souls...

We are playing this game to make sure we understand the rules properly and then we may offer a tournament of this in 2011. We'll see how it takes off down here.
