  1. Sad, very very sad...

Of course, even doing a deck check before a game won't avoid all forms of cheating. Some people can do some very nifty slieght of hand tricks when shuffling a deck. It's sad, but people do cheat and in any sort of game someone who wants to cheat can find a way to do it.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... won't happen cause after the 1st time I kicked you in the nuts and don't play with you anymore.

Like Poker, when Malifaux is on ESPN we'll have to have a dealer at each table ;)

  2. Yes you can m8 because the Drain blood is an action and Blood Sense is a trigger. I can't active Shaman & Nekima blood sence together because that would be 2 triggers. But because an action and trigger are different it's allowed.

If you goto the link above from Wodschow it explains it.

    Wow! Thanks!

Now I really can't wait for the Shaman/Nekima as you can get 3 Counters from a 40mm model :)

  3. a) Kill a Merc Using 1st action

    B) Shaman & Nekima gain 1 Blood Counter from Blood Sence

    c) Use the Mercs ability A Last Noble Deed to heal the shaman

    d) Use 0 to use Brain Blood and get 1 Blood Counter.

Unless there was a change to Blood Sense I am not aware of, you cannot use Blood Sense and Drain Blood on the same kill.

  4. Bottle caps :)

    Step 1 = Get a Beer

    Step 2 = Drink Beer

    Step 3 = Get a Hammer

Step 4 = Smash bottle cap til its flat

A flattened cap is the same size as a small base, it may not be perfectly round, but its pretty darn close. I may eventually green stuff/prime and paint em, but they work great and are essentially free :)

  5. Black Blood Shaman + Nekima + Terror Tot

Shaman can make the Tot Fast

Nekima can add a :masks to its Ca

Tot can then Sprint 3 times for a total of 30" to 45" (need 3 :masks for the latter)

Broken? No, since it takes 22 SS to make a 3 SS model move that fast once per game. Thought it was funny though so had to share :)

  6. From my understanding, for models that have Companion (Model) you have to announce all the models you are companioning with before activating any of them. So since the newly summoned Voodoo is not on the table when Zoraida activates you can not select it with Companion and thus it cannot activate immediatly after her.

The wording about models gaining companion during another models activation are for those models that have a(0) Companion (Model) ability. As a (0) ability it is something you use during that models turn and thus do not have to announce companions at the start of the models activation. Instead, at any point during that models activation you may use the (0) ability to grant another model companion, in which case it will actiate immediatly after the model using the (0) ability.

  7. I concur with tenabrae. You could even cast twice (once with Casting Expert and once with (1) General AP) then use (0) Raven and move 10".

Course, its best combined with an initial Cast of Repulsive, then (0) Raven and the move 20", gets you out of a tight spot!

  8. My group has had all the same experiences with Pandora. My friend who plays her is actually shelving her for a bit because its just not fun to play against her. She Incites/Pacifies to the front lines, does a ton of damage and Incite/Pacifies out.

I like the idea of Incite/Pacify on enemies only.

Another idea I had was that you could not Incite/Pacify a model that already activated that turn OR that the text for Incite/Pacify about being able to use the ability again that activation be reworded to say you can use the ability again immediately.

  9. I must say I simply extrapolated it from the rules. Models may always pick up counters on the table and it costs them nothing. There's no way to trace which models carry which counters or even which counters are carried and which are simply stepped upon, as the counters are on the table in base contact with the models (and it may be quite a mess in a larger skirmish).

Because counters are on the table even when a model carries them, I see nothing against another model simply picking them up (as long as it has base contact with the counter) and taking them somewhere else. Obviously I never allowed opponents to pick up such counters, but I think it's quite a "natural" thing to do within the team.

Perhaps it's taking the interpretation too far though. :D

I think you're a bit off on this. 1st off, only models that can use the counters can pick them up.

More importantly, when you are carrying a counter it is not on the table. When you pick a counter up it is removed from the table and should be placed on the models stat card that picked it up to signify it is carrying that counter. When a model carrying counters is removed from the table (killed, sacrificed, buried) they drop all carried counters in a pile where they were standing.

As far as I know there is no way to transfer a counter from one model to another unless the model carrying the counter has a special ability, like the Vulture.

  10. You can cast spells before using the Raven ability. So, with Casting Expert, you could cast a (1) spell, user Raven and then walk twice for 20" total.

And yes, the Vodoo Doll still activates Conduit when it is summoned.

  11. ...I managed to keep the multi-Obey at the Cerberus from eating me...

Obey can only be cast once per activation, this makes it sound like its being cast multiple times on the Cerebus in 1 turn...

Also, as WEiRD suggested, use Ice Pillars and WhiteOut. The Ortegas are mainly ranged, WhiteOut will be nasty against them as all their attack flips get a :-fate, which prevents them from cheating attack flips.

  12. No starter box has contained Totems of any kind, nor have they contained Summoned Minions of any kind. Zoraida did not come with her Voodoo doll, thus its likely that Leveticus will not come with his Waifs.

Leveticus, Rusty Alyce, SPA x3 or 4

    Just a thought...
