  1. a very much needed improvement from L4D1. the New SI are very much needed and the Survivors have a ahrder time overall.

Dead Center Finale is a fun one along with the Parish Bridge finale (IMO the hardest one).

i played L4D1 in leagues since the beginning and am doing the same with l4D2.

this game was surprisingly much better than the original.

  2. i wont go too much into it because well just because but "power gaming" is different from each persons perspective. It will only take a little time until people come across "broken" list builds and what not. people think effective is broken which i don't get.

new games have a level playing field which is quite enjoyable but when someone begins to win events more than once you cannot simply state they are Power gaming or they play cut throat to win. some players like playing to win because they want people to challenge them for an intense game.

if people think the decks are being stacked you could always make it so that the opponent cuts the deck. then again IMO we shouldnt have a reason to not trust eachother.

  3. heh! There is no such thing as leveticus being underpowered. :) He is one of the most powerful masters in the game once you have a solid grasp on how to use him.

I'd actually prefer a battle box with alyce and a bunch of SPA's so that you have two vectors of re-spawning them.

That is a good point about scenarios though.

    -- Haight

i cant wait for his starter box. he is the master that draws my attention the most, the 2nd being pandora.

it cant come any sooner :(

  4. lol just GOTTA be different. I usually don't take Candy outside of boxset...8 pts for what could be Teddy...

8 pts for a casting expert who makes models attack themselves and who is harmless (also does some other things as well). teddy is big and does a lot of damage but thats about it. hes a huge target from the get go.

i will try them both but candy first.

  5. Get the book!

    jk

Candy ss cost: 8. Casting Expert and Self-loathing spell. Ability to Pacify. All the WP checks with Pandora (and Sorrows) would cause damage just for failing. Self-loathing causes the stabbing yourself in your face.

Kade: SS cost: 6. Ability of Incite but he's the melee attacker. No tricky spells for WP duels other than Incite.

Teddy is a melee beastick and nothing too tricky other than Thing of Nightmares allowing him flight and other stuff. He's big and you can see him coming. SS cost of 9

Hooded Rider is a melee beatstick but fast fast fast and is more of a surgical strike (he's your Angelius, Teddy is your Carnivean). Rider isn't just fast, but has three different versions of the sword that do significantly different effects you control. Less directly powerful and more vulnerable than Teddy, but crazy fast and maneuverable and adaptable. SS cost of 8.

So, my crew preference is Candy with the Rider which costs one more point than Kade and Teddy. Both have their merits. I like the trickery of this build better than the in your face and tear it up of the alternative. With Pandora, though, the army plays tricky no matter what. She might be more competitive with Kade and Teddy as better walls of muscle.

how many Soul Stones will be left in my pooll to use for damage prevention and other flips.

  6. I'm running Lilith now.

    Pandora at 30ss?

Hmmm....I'd go with 3 Sorrows. Kade. Either Teddy or the Hooded Rider. Primordial Magic Totem. I think another Sorrow would be cool, too. Those points have got to be damn near perfect, though it's off the top of my head.

I like Candy better than Kade, so if you went with the Hooded Rider I'd go with Candy. >or< Teddy and Kade.

what is hte difference between candy and kade?

whats the difference between teddy and hooded rider?

    on paper that it.

  7. in all reality the game is maed to have fun regardless of winning or losing.

this is a new game and i was iffy at first if i was going to partake in it. the whole i activate then you do has been out of my gaming since i stopped playing mage knight. it will be a nice refresher course to say the least.

also anyone and everyone going to tuesday night please oh please read the rulebook. i know there are some interactions that are questionable but most of the questions asked on tuesday were simple enough to look in the book and find the answer.

Bowen and Glen couldnt get their game going because of the constant questions and my badgering at their table :P.

  8. Oh no! Im sticking with outcasts. i think you get a good balance between range and meele. I will prolly just play whatever Jake picks though so I can learn to "break" this game too :)

well i wouldn't worry so much about me as i would bowen and glen.

when starting a new game we all have to build from the ground up. it is something i look forward to.
