  1. Though it does entirely depend on what characters are used for her name and, one supposes, whether or not those characters mean the same thing in the Mali-verse.

I'd be willing to be that they mean the same thing. I don't think language would change in any significant fashion in the relatively small amount of time humans have been on the other side of the breach.

  2. I cant say enough good things about the witchling stalkers. They are probably the best 4 pt minion Guild has.Short list for why

    Hunter

    Scout

    Magic Weapon with cb6

    Antimagic aura

2 dam pulse when they die.

They have a way to help against just about any crew in the game honestly.

Not to mention the insane amount of damage their melee attacks do, and they have a decent gun if needed.

  3. Hey I was wrong good to know. Now I can rock 2 slate ridge mauler makes it so much better. I am happy to have a firm ruling now, I could have sworn about that thing a year ago but now we we know and knowing is half the battle. You do still need those models though if you are going to play with them in a competitive environment.

Yeah, I'm almost sure it was ruled the other way around initially.

  4. My advice is to stay away from the boxes that have henchmen as the master, at least initially. So wait on Von Schill and Lucius.

I think to learn the game, either the Ortegas, Lady J, or Rasputina is a good start. Hoffman is really complicated, but I haven't had a chance to actually try him, so I could be off base.

Good luck on your demo, and welcome to the game!

  5. That's a great concept, though it may be a bit cumbersome to lug around.

For the tables at my flgs, I first headed to the local fabric store and bought felt in a variety of colors (green, tan, white, brown, etc). Since the mats are used to section off playing areas for both malifaux and warmachine, I cut the felt into 4'x'4 squares. Then on one side I masked off a 3'x3' square in the center (6"boarder all the way around) and spray painted the edges with a different color.

This gives you a definitive 3'x3' area and it folds up for easy storage/ transportation. I think I spent about $10 on felt and used the spray paints I had on hand to make 8 mats for the flgs. Best part is that the felt comes in a variety of colors, change the mat and the setting changes instantly!

I like this idea quite a bit. Did you have any problems with the felt getting stiff from the spray paint?

  6. Ever used Green Stuff as a sort of mortar for your joints? Just put a dab of super glue in the socket, a (very) small ball of GS, then another dab of glue on the other piece. Squish together and, bam. A strong, solid joint. Sounds like that might be just the ticket for your Shikome.

  7. So this Twisting Fates book includes all of the latest and up to date core rules, in addition to all the new content? That sounds like a winner, unless I'm missing something.

No, the one you want for the most up to date core rules is the $15 mini rulebook. But Twisting Fates was printed after that and includes just the new rules (like for Avatar forms), so you may want to consider picking that up too so you have a complete ruleset. But the mini rulebook is the most cost effective and important route to take.

    Welcome to the game!

  8. The raw destruction she can sow is amazing. Less frills, less gimmicks, just fiery mayhem. She's lovely.

But, some masters don't work for some people. I flailed around through several factions trying to find stuff i really enjoyed playing. It happens. My suggestions is to try another master. Don't sell Criid, maybe not even buy new models. See if someone will let you proxy some different stuff. Then, if you like the new stuff, and still don't like Criid, then make the change.
