We were discussing this a few nights ago; it was suggested that Deadlands could make a very good system; it even uses cards for spell casting.

I was looking at the Crooked Man's spell "Shafted", and it struck me how much more powerful it could be IF I could "predict" the card Ill draw; so who (or what) will allow me to do this? Ive skimmed the Resi and Outcast sectino and nothing sprang out; is deck manipulation not a Resi trait?

But that can be nasty! You could wipe out a huge portion of your opponents force in one turn, leaving them a few models to go back with.

I agree, it does bug me when you get told you're not using a model/army "right" (Warmachine players take note!)

I got rulebook yesterday, and I really like th 3elook and sound of Gremlins/Piggies. I read somewhere they are quite a difficult faction to run as a new player - Is this true? (Im not a gaming noob, just new to Malifaux)

How hard is the 2nd Ed rule book to get in the UK? (Answer: Very)

This is good news, Hell Dorado was catching on at my local club (Darklords in England) when it all went tits up; Equally, there is a huge buzz about Malifaux (our FLGS is getting its first delivery tomorow hopefully. Hopefully the 2 systems will be popular, I think they deserve to be. But when has popularity come from deserving????

Not sure where to post this; Im unable to get the Neverborn profile up. I can get the others, but that one keeps coming up as a brown background with no text; could someone either fix it, or put the text below so I can read it? Typically, thats the faction I think Im going to end up with.

Just found this game; minis look awsome (I enjoy the painting as much as the playing) and from what Ive read here it sounds like the sort of game me and my group would enjoy; my questions are:

1) How does Malifaux comapre to Hell Dorado (a potentially brilliant game that was killed off prematurely) and Warmachine?

2) How established is Malifaux? I dont want to invest time and £ into a game thats going to be canned in 6 months time (see Hell Dorado).

I assume stat cards come with the minis (like Warmachine etc?)
