  1. Welcome to the forums EM :) I've been waiting to get my starters together before talking to Wayne about going out there to the TM and doing a demo or two. Yall have a bunch of great players up there and I think that some of the guys would definately be interested in getting a game or two of this in :) I don't make it up that way on a regular basis but if there is any Sunfday you wanna hang out and get in a game or two just shoot me a PM, I am usually free on Sundays :)

  2. I have been in more ER's then anyone I know for one reason or another. All I can suggest is find a hospital in the area that uses the "Plain Tree" philosophy. It's amazing what invoking the correct attitude in your employees can do. Things get done faster, with less staff and all your patients get better care :)

It's also real cool that you get to beat up on your daughter sometimes legally ;) That and that you take an interest in her activities even when you are dead tired :)

  3. That's wierd, for the US the War Store charges pretty much the shipping that they pay.

Also, if your stores are looking for an easy distributor for the mini's, I know the War Store does a distribution program for brick and mortar stores which is as competitive or cheaper then some of the other big distributors and, once they get the stock settled in, always have stock of stuff :)

  4. In 1999 I was drinking way too much, doing way too little school work (never did finish that degree), started dating the first girl I had dated in 5 years who was also 12 years older then me, working as an orderly at a surgical facility so I mopped up blood all day and got to see tons of cool surgeries and pretty much screwing around with my life :)

  5. I don't think you will be disappointed Db :) I also think you should go with Lady J because honestly, doesn't everyone want to play on the winning team? The Arcanists and such will give you thier propoganda but, at the end of the day, the Guild is the only real Law in town...

  7. All of the stuff I bought from them had a grid or no grid pack with them *shrug* if something you bought from them only has the grid let them know. They are pretty good about listening to customer feedback so they may come out with a new one for it and remove the grid :)

  8. Welcome to the forum. My first tip on painting is don't get discouraged. They won't look like studio models at first but you will learn some good tricks and your brush strokes will get better with practice. www.brushthralls.com has some good intro painting guides and some easy technique guides to make your painting come out looking good :)

  9. Weeknights are cool too. I can make it down to Orange as well. Clockwork always seemed to be a comic book store to me that had some product but I wouldn't mind showing up there and throwing down. If they carry the product at some point then even better!

  10. I have used the Worldworks games stuff and it holds up pretty well. The main thing for me was really spending the time to get it right. My first couple of projects looked like junk but, after I got the hang of scoring the carboard (I use heavy heavy wieght paper, the heaviest you can get at Staples) and making straight lines without taking off several digits it comes out ok. It is not as nice as real terrain but the price is great.

Between buying the terrain packs and the paper I made two full tables of terrain (which got tossed inadvertantly *cry*) that looked decent for under 60 bucks.

I have seen people do the foamcore board and it looks much much better but takes much longer.

Shane's tip of the day - Watch out what glue you use. Research it from the guys who do this all the time. Some glues (like regular glue sticks) can make your five hour project look like a kindergartener did it :)

  11. I think part of your mission statement should include flying to CT and getting all the stores here to carry the product (and expand so you can actually play in thier stores :) ).

Mad Dok, next time you have a free weekend hit me up and (hopefully) I will have my boxes in from the Wyrd store and be ready to play. We can meet up at one of the localish stores and play a couple games and show off the mini's :)
