Are upgrades added to a model considered in the cost when determining the target of the Murder Protoge Scheme?
-
Are you perhaps going to be at KublaCon (in 2 weeks)?
-
Nice idea but they look a bit bare to me. Personally I like counters that don't make the table look strewn with counters, if you know what I mean. Maybe you could Malifaux them up a bit, broodier colours and more gothic text.
Yeah, I wish I could. However I'm pretty inept with all the graphics and editing tools.
To be honest, I'm hoping to just generate ideas that perhaps some of the Wyrd guys will find useful in creating some awesome official counters.
-
How about putting the name of the effect on one side and the rules text on the back? That way you could drop the counter down and if someone wanted a quick reference they could flip the counter over real quick.
That's an excellent idea. I'll definitely have to create another round of prototypes now. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the cattails are definitely out of scale. It was the first time I made them and although they seemed too large I figured what the hell. Honestly they are more annoying from a game play point of view cause they get in the way.
Basically I made them with a long thick bristle from a brush and then rolling a bit of green stuff around it to make the thick section.

So last night I finally put together some prototype counters. I'm curious to get people's thoughts.
Construction: The counters are just 1"x1" plastic tiles. Then I printed out the tokens and used some and used some adhesive stuff from Michaels to stick them on.
Token text: This is where I'm not sure which works better. The examples below have a variety of ideas. In the case of Incite and Defensive Stance, it's just the effect. For Falling Back, I created two types to show the steps to Falling Back. The third example of Project Emotions, I listed the actual effect on the tile.
I'm sort of inclined to include effects on all the tiles where reasonable, but it might make the text too cramped. Comments appreciated!

Sorry for the pun... I couldn't help it! I finished this guy up recently. This model was a delight to paint. Nice dynamic pose. Constructive feedback appreciated!

Very cool stuff. The terrain shots are inspiring me to get crackin on my own terrain making. Thanks!

Yah, I second the Simple Green solution. Soak for 24 hours, light scrub with an old tooth brush, wash off in warm water and bam, you're ready to go again. I've used it a number of times and always been happy with results.

Great work there, particularly on the clothes. Definitely above tabletop quality!
My only comment here is that a few small dots of pure white on the glowing flame of the blade would give it that extra punch to make it really look like it's giving off light, but that's a personal preference.

Love this model. Very fun to paint. Except for being so tiny, the sculpt is very easy to get at the details. Comments and critique welcome!

It keeps crashing for me. Dunno if it's just my end or vas.
The blog link won't come up for you? Let me know what's broken and I'll see if I can figure out if it's something in my page.

In case anyone is interested, I've written a tutorial on my blog for the Obsidian Rune Bases I make for my Neverborn models. Here's the link. I'm no expert on writing tutorials, so let me know how I could improve upon it.

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone.

Great stuff! You've caught the crazed eyes nicely and I'm digging the base. Cork?
Actually it's Super Sculpy, shaped into a cylinder and then chipped and carved. Was much easier to carve runes into it that way.
-
Well, this is my first Malifaux model. Hafta admit, Kade is pretty tiny to paint which made it challenging. Hopefully this post works (never posted pics into this forum before). Comments and critique appreciated...

So what are people doing to protect their cards? Normally I'd just use regular card sleeves, but these are obviously irregular sized.
-
Hooray for planned markers! The other day when I played Pandora I was going nuts trying to figure out how to mark all the effects.

Did this ever get resolved? The Lilith Transfixing Gaze interaction came up in my game last night against Nicodem. Specifically she was in Avatar form and had multiple Hazardous terrain features under him. The question we ended up with was whether it doesn't push him at all, or if he is pushed 0", thus triggering the damage flip from the terrain as well as the effect from the Transfixing Gaze itself. Given the rules void, I ended up just altering my plan.
