I went home for lunch today, and what did I find? A box full of gremlins and the rule book! And on top of that, I got a rock candy sucker! I feel so special.

also, the book is amazing. Sadly I had to go back yo work rather than spend the afternoon reading it, but the layout, art, and design is really impressive. Even my wife, who's a nerd but not a gamer, really dug the book. She liked the mix of art styles, from the line drawings, to Jim Lee style (gen-13) comic book-ish art, to the watercolor style stuff. I was completely blown away at first impession.

I can't wait to sink in as soon as possible. Good job to everyone at Wyrd!

Are there any plans for game accessories, in particular something akin to GF9's battlefield in a box. For a 3x3 table it might seen feesible to put together a cool themed terrain pack, either unpainted or painted, for a reasonable price.

Is wyrd going to continue making random side miniatures that are not part of the mali'verse? (I.E., dire 'shrooms)

malifaux has that new Orleans voodoo vibe in places, do they also have a popular sport franchise that continues to excite the locals only to be dissappointed when it falls apart at the end? Or, what sort of recration is there around town?

I placed my first order last night, and the navigation between the cart and the catalogue pages was a little troublesome. The checkout / purchase process went smoothly though. Except that the invoice did not dispaly correctly on the screen. The emailed and print view versions came through just fine though.

I would really like to see an in stock/out of stock icon or field, just to know for certain. I ordered the gremlin starter box and was a little worried over delays, since some other online retailers seem to have trouble keeping it in.

Looks great. You're "things went wrong" version is still far and away better than my "things went right" version. I've never been able to figure out NMM.

I'm also waiting for my rulebook, being forced to have patience sucks. I thought about ordering it online, but I really wanted to show support at the LGS. So now I have to wait for fate to feed a book through the distributers and eventually to me.

But hey, at least you've got minis to start on.

I'm not necessarily the worlds best painter, but I've got a whole khador warmachine army done in white. For most of the models I used white primer, but on a couple I used black, and they came out quite well. The key is to build up from a smooth base color that has good coverage, I apply two thin coats of GW space wolves grey, and then blend/layer from there.

So really it sounds like you are on the right path.

What age do you coach?

The kids will be 11 this year. I've had the same team for the last two years, so it's pretty exciting to get to work with them and see the leaps and bounds that they take year over year. It's a really rewarding experience.

It's rather nice beeing a volunteer and not having any kids, it means I get to do what I think is best for the team and I don't have to deal with any parental BS about favoritism.

The unfortunate thing is I'm short, so I'm pretty sure this is my last year being taller than he kids.

I am jealous of those in attendance. Good luck to the guys from Wyrd, I wish I could be there to offer support in person.

This seems a little silly, but I wanted to ask anyway. I'm thinking about picking up a crew or two soon, and I had a question about the bases. Am I correct in understanding that most of the miniatures do not come with any of the inserts, like graves and platforms? In particular I'm looking at lady justice and the death marshalls. But I just wanted to make sure that the DMs do come with the coffins.

I've been waiting for this game for quite some time now. I'm really excited to get my hands on a copy. I'm waiting to see if the flgs can get it, it'd be nice to see a local scene grow.

I've been wargaming since '93. Started with 40k, then necromunda, gorkamorka, fantasy, and most recently warmachine. I prefer small gang skirmish level games, so malifaux looks to be right up my alley.

Unfortunately my time will be eaten up for the next two months, I volunteer as a football coach. But I plan to get the rules and a crew together so I'll be ready by the end if the season.

I'm looking forward to posting and seeing the community grow.
