  1. I told him to go to the tourney location anyway, even if he's late, 'cause chances are someone will be looking for a pick up game. He can also see if there is going to be room at any other tourneys over the weekend.

  2. How much set up time is there before the tourney starts? One of my friends is signed up for the Thursday Noon tourney, and his plane will probably be landing at 11:30, so he may very well be a little bit late. What should I tell him?

  3. More pictures of my minis, taken far too well for such incompletely painted figures. This guy was wandering around with a really nice camera, looking for things to photograph. He stopped and asked if he could shoot my figures, so I let him. He reposed things, moved them around, and took probably a hundred or so pictures. I've never seen pictures of figures come out so well without a light box. ( He just had this seperate light/flash thingie that he set off to the side aimed just so, and it was somehow synced to his camera, it flashed when he took a picture. )

  4. The gremlins aren't painted yet, so they're. A no go, cause unpainted minis don't show off the game as well.

What I've been doing is demonstrating the basics of the game, then letting them choose which faction looks best to them, then playing Pandora against them. It's worked out pretty well so far. A bunch of my demos were for people familiar with Warmachine, so that actually helped. More demos tomorrow.

  5. Greetings, everyone!

I will be running demos of Malifaux at Steamcon in Seattle next weekend. ( www.steam-con.com Oct 23-25 ) Unfortunately, Steamcon is pretty much sold out. There will be a few weekend passes available on Friday when registration opens, but not very many at all. So, if you happen to be attending Steamcon, please come by and play some games. I'm helping my Wife run the gaming, so I will be in the game rooms most of the time.

I will try to post a little more ahead of time for the next demo events. ( Looking ahead for Norwescon in April )

  6. I had a long conversation with, I'm blanking, isn't it Ron Kruzie, the Privateer Press painting guy. I asked him how the P3 primer compared to Duplicolor Sandable ( I've been using it since I heard the McVey's and the Brushthralls rave about it ) and he told me that it was one and the same. He said that PP is licensing it from Duplicolor. That's a good thing, because the only store that I could find that sold Duplicolor is GI Joes which is now out of business and gone. I haven't finished my last can of Duplicolor, but as soon as I do I will pick up some of the P3 and test it out myself.

  7. Since he must be summoned "at least 7 inches" from an enemy model, you shouldn't be able to catch anyone with Landslide, unless they move one of their models closer to you. ( or you have some way of pushing him closer )

  8. As for advice, I use piano wire, as it is much much thinner than paper clips. I pick up assortments of small bits at Harbor Freight ( www.harborfreight.com actually http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94606 ) Piano wire is available at many small hobby stores.

I should add that they are not very high quality bits, the smallest are only good for a hole or three. The smaller ones are good for 3 to 7 holes. And, only half or so of the bits are useful for miniature purposes. That said, they are very very cheap. < shrug >

  9. If that's what four to six weeks mean, then yes.

    :D

Odds are you will see it speed up but I'm not going to make promises on anything as of yet. There are fifteen miniatures at the mold maker right now and I've assigned another twenty-plus to sculptors here recently so I think you could safely say that we're supporting the game and will have a fairly steady schedule. What that schedule will be, we'll just have to see.

Yaay!!! Do you usually announce ahead of time what is coming out new? Do you make a post here when something new is available on the web store?
