    This will be a four round tournament, with three of the rounds based on story encounters.

    Schedule:
    10.30am-11.00am – Registration
    11.00am-11.30pm - Henchman Hardcore
    11.45pm-1.15pm – Game One
    1.15pm-1.45pm – Lunch
    1.45pm-3.15pm – Game Two
    3.30pm-5.00pm – Game Three
    5.15pm – Results announced


    30 Minute round for Henchman Hardcore, 90 Minute Rounds for Games 1 to 3
    Maximum of 12 players

    TP/DIFF/VP Scoring format
    Apart from the Henchman Hardcore round, all games will be 50ss.
    Players will elect at the start of the day which Faction they are playing. They must play all games with this faction, however are free to change Masters between rounds.
    No painting requirement, but models should be fully assembled and attached securely to bases. There will, however, be a bonus in the Henchman Hardcore round for fully painted crews.
    Proxies are allowed for unreleased models, providing they are base appropriately, and are clearly noted which model is which to the opponent before the game begins.
    Each game, a player may also use one proxy for a model in their crew that does have an official release if they so wish, providing that they note what the model represents before the game begins to their opponent, and it is based appropriately, and has the correct card.  
    Only models and upgrades released in the Malifaux 2E and Crossroads book will be allowed (IE. Nothing from Shifting Loyalties)


    Players are responsible for supplying:
    Crew models
    Rulebooks and official Wyrd stat cards
    Fate Decks
    Measuring Tape
    Counters/Markers/Tokens

     

    The TO will provide markers for encounters that require special terrain or markers.

    Strategies and schemes, and deployment
    Strategies will be noted in the description for each game. For the three story encounters, players will be able to select the schemes they used. However, schemes are not able to be selected more than once during the course of the event (Not including the Henchman Hardcore game). Some tables may have play areas larger than 3x3 available, in which case borders will be provided to indicate the table edges.


    HENCHMAN HARDCORE

    4 Models MAXIMUM
    Unused soulstones can not be added to a cache
    No summoning
    Close Deployment
    Strategy: Turf War
    Schemes: Assassinate
    PLEASE NOTE: This type of game is intended to play fast, and should be a warm-up for the next few games. Players are encouraged to pick their crews before arriving.
    BONUS: Playing with a fully painted and based crew for this round will be worth an additional 2VP. Fully painted is no undercoat showing, minimum of three colours, and a base which is detailed and painted.

  2. Story wise, I suspect it would make a difference.

    Gameplay wise, it might lead (and is leading for the Avatars) to some new mechanics. But I really doubt that it will be "Master X is dead, you can't use them anymore". Several masters have already died in story with different ways to bring them back which weren't just "they got better". I almost want Leve to be the one to die simply so the whole "they got better" thing can be lampooned.
