As a photographer who shoots a lot of glamour, Bettie Page was an icon who will always be remembered.
Back in the 80s, there were postcards still sold in Florida which featured Bettie's pin-up works.
R.I.P.

And for recovering image files from memory cards, I recommend a program called "PhotoRescue". It isn't free, but the downloadable demo version will show exactly what it can recover before you spend the money to buy the activation key to enable it.

Shipping charges from Germany make my head spin a little. (And all the worse with my second hobby of board games, much heavier than minis, but tons of the good ones are German.) So I'll probably wait to see if CMON or Fant gets this one in.
Freebooter's shipping isn't bad for shipping from Continental Europe. Packages to North America start at 5 euros. I ordered a total of 4 minis and the shipping & handling cost was 6 euros.

Yeah, I know I should pick one up from them, but last year when I tried to order the SPEIL Pirate diorama, I got completely ignored - I also got no responses to several emails...I wound up getting it through CMON eventually.
This is my second or third order direct from Freebooter. I haven't had any problems. Select the items I want into the shopping cart and hit submit. Next day I get the email with the total (including shipping charges) and the order reference number to use on PayPal.

I ordered mine. I'm always looking for good mermaids.
-
Just in case anyone is wanting to get this, I think it's only on sale until November 1.
They've never been clear exactly when the item will disappear on Nov 1st. Better order by Oct 31 if you really want them. (I already ordered)

I think she's singing one of the mermaid songs. "Under the Sea", perhaps?

What's the best way to clean up Coke that has been shot out one's nose and landed on the computer keyboard, again?
You could try holding in under the shower.
Then you can out and buy the fancy new keyboard you always wanted. :vb_devil:

I think she's wearing jodhpurs, which are old-style riding trousers that do a bit of a 'thunder thigh' thing.
They were all the rage in the 1920s and 30s.

It worked fine today. I was able to load the pictures of my bust into the gallery (JC, the Tool Girl from DangerGirl).
All 6 of my non-contest images are ones deleted from P-Bucket for violating their terms of service.

I've been trying to upload some images to my Member Gallery, but I get an error during the process (error 403, if I read it correctly). Is everything working on the gallery side or is the error on my computer's side?
(I'm trying to post 2 more of the images that were deleted by P-Bucket).

This is my favorite of the Alkemy factions (Jade is second). I'll be buying these once available.

I'm not ready yet! :-O Only problem with the new category is that now I have to figure out how to divide my planned display between Fantasy and Historical. NOt sure just how many Fantasy displays we'll have as at least a few people in the Fantasy field are unable to attend. Still....I'll be there, Skya (Noel) will be there and Eastman (George) will be there! Find us if you're coming to the show and introduce yourself!
Haven't you met Jim before? I guess you don't make enough of the meetings.
(I guess I should start painting one of these days)

I'm not a sculptor (I don't even play one on TV), but the scale choice seems unusual. I'm just wondering why you decided on 38mm and do you mean 38mm as foot to top of head or as foot to eye?

Saw this in the flesh at Gen Con, and it's lovely indeed.
Yep. I also did and I agree.

The poses may be similar, but these are very small dragons - similar in size to the dragon that comes with the 54mm Dragon Summoner.

... when I have my own perfectly good minions at home I have no idea.
*cracks the whip at the two cats chained to the desk, being forced paint miniatures with their tails*
I thought you were still keeping that secret until they finished your commission backlog?
-
but it isn't one that comes with the figure and it is part of a different product line, so some stores which have the 54mm fantasy figures don't carry the scenic supplies
for example CMoN & Fantization carry the figure, but not the arch base. Red Lancers carries both the figures and the bases.

welcome to Wyrd, Katie!

If you ever find yourself near one of the John Harvard's chain of brew pubs, they are definitely worth a stop. Lots of good beers are made there.

Mostly I've seen them sold at historicals shows, but there's also some online. The Vitrinins are my favorites.
The Vitrinin flats based on Alphonse Mucha's artwork are fantastic.

You can repay me by suggesting some good gins. I've had most of the easy-to-find ones, but I'd bet there are a lot of gins available in England that I'll never find here.
Try Hendrick's Gin (from Scotland). My personal favorite - makes a killer martini.
a few new painted minis from me

The power of the bourbon is still strong in you. I think I need to start drinking more.
