Just to let everyone know, both 54mm Frankenstein’s Monster and 54mm Anastasia are both in stock and shipping. All pre-orders have shipped over the weekend (and some of you maybe finding them on your doorsteps this very day).

Little warning that I don’t have a huge amount of stock left of either after trade orders and pre-orders. So, be quick or there maybe a delay while I wait for more casts.

Well, it’s new release time again at Eolith and, after a number of delays, I’m proud to present Autumn, my latest 54mm fantasy figure. Also, I’ve had the 30mm Spyglass Barbarian Warlord remastered into resin. Both figures are available now.

On a not so great note, there are a few casting problems with the Spyglass Classics pack. These will be sorted in a few weeks but, for the moment, the Spyglass Classics pack plus the individual Si’Rene and Inge figures are off sale. However, I’ve decided to put a bright side on this. I do have a small amount of stock of 30mm Shae and Katalin. I’ve decided that while stocks last (or until the return of the pack), Shae and Katalin will be £3.50 each rather than £5.50.

Anyway, it’s all go once again and the action's at www.eolithminiatures.com

Well, I’m a little behind schedule with my next 54mm sculpt (though the extra time she’s taking is really paying off in my opinion) but I didn’t want to leave you guys high and dry with releases for too long so I rummaged in my bag of tricks and dug up (pun intended) Zzzz the caricature zombie. Not really typical of the sort of models I plan for Eolith but he was fun to sculpt and I though some of you may get a kick out of him.

This guy is 37mm tall (40mm if he stood up straight). I hesitate to call him 40mm scale as the word 'scale' seems wrong for a caricature...

I’ve started a new category in the store for this sort of thing. The ‘misc’ section. Just need somewhere to put the random miniatures that don’t necessarily fit in.

Anyway, he's in stock and ready to ship at www.eolithminiatures.com

Next release normal service will resume with a proper 54mm release and, with luck, a couple of remastered Spyglass figs.

I am proud to announce that I have finally launched Eolith Miniatures. Eolith’s initial plan is to produce 54mm fantasy miniatures cast in high quality resin. I am launching with the first two figures, Selene the Paladin and Hurk the Noblin. There are more figures in progress as we speak and will be added to the range in due course.

I have also remastered a few of the more popular figures from my previous company, Spyglass, into resin.

I could ramble but I’d like to keep this press release short. Far better that you just go straight to my website and check it out yourself.

  5. Hi guys

Sorry I haven't brought this up sooner. I've decided to shut down Spyglass Miniatures and start over in the new year with a different business model. The long version of that statement can be checked out on the Spyglass site here -

    http://www.spyglassminiatures.com/page14/page14.html

Well, I've been running a closing down sale which had been planned to be heavily promoted on many sites. Well, I made a miscalculation and gave the members of my forum a one hour head start. This was a week ago, and I've only now managed to come up for air.

Well, this is the second part of the announcement which is to say the Spyglass sale will end on Wednesday at some point, at which point the company will shut down. It could conceivably happen sooner if I run out of toy soldiers to sell (especially as I'm nearly out right now).

Apologies to anyone who gets there and says 'where the hell is everything'. Sorry, the company got stripped pretty much bare last week.

Anyway, there's still the odd cool fig to be had, so take a look.

(perfectly fine and upbeat in case you're wondering...)

  6. This is my latest sculpt and paintjob. 34mm (foot to top of head) Amazon. Cast, very nicely, in resin. She's a ltd edition of 300 available through the coolminiornot store.

Painting-wise, she's a departure for me. I normally go black undercoat and lots of opaque layers. This was painted in the more modern style of white undercoat and with heavily thinned paints with lots of washes. An interesting change and one I think I'll be exploring a bit more...

  7. Its Peter Serafinowicz, may recognise him from Spaced, IT Crowd (?), Black Books, Hardware, and loads of other C4 comedies. Had his own sketch show a couple of months back on ITV I think, but I never saw it so not sure if it was any good...

Moa, I never thought a top class actor would spend his nights painting minis!

I used to get called Noddy at school, so apparently I have a similarity there.

Pete was also the voice of Darth Maul :)

  8. After a lot of working things out, finally I've got new figures for sale at Spyglass. Relaunched a few weeks back but I think you were all rather after new stuff. So, here they are :)
