Happy Birthday to two great Wyrdos!!
How you have a great day and get out and have some fun!
I would go on and list all the great contributions you each have made to the Wyrd site, but I'm at work right now (and not really supposed to be here - bad me!) but somebody had to get the party started.
Please let the praise-singing start!!
Yay! Vike for moderating the IPs!
Yay! Hinton for all the Wyrd "fluff"-iness!

Hmm, that thing the kid's lookin' at (or maybe slightly to the left of it) seems awfully familiar.....

Damn! What's with the world these days!? Some similiar just happened locally last week:
[copied from PublicOpinionOnline, the local newspaper:]
"Man tries to kidnap girl in Montgomery Township
MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, Thursday, May 14 -- Police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl from her home in Montgomery Township.
Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said the man knocked on the door of the Hunter Road home Wednesday at 12:35 p.m., and when the girl answered, he tried to pull her from the house. She resisted and the man fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as having light skin, between 6 feet and 6-foot-3-inches tall, thin build, and wearing blue jeans, a blue collar shirt, ski mask and gloves."
I have a 6 year old little girl and I try never to let her out of my sight because of stuff like this. It's terrible, I remember as a child being out exploring the neighborhood by myself plenty of times with just to "not take candy from strangers" advice. Geez. But if anybody tried to do anything to my daughter, I'd want them to have a slow painful demise and they'd be hitting those high notes before I was through with them.
Hope your girl's ok and they find this pervert before he tries again on somebody else's daughter.

Thanks everybody! I wasn't expecting that big introduction that Vike wrote up, wow, that really brightened my day.
Thanks! ...and no, I'm not diabetic and I wasn't attacked by a swarm of bees today, although a large bumblebee gave me a staredown today (was he sent by you TBK?)
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Baconlube.
Hmmm, bacon and cheese.... :eating:
Nice sculpt though, I like the different take on the Medusa mythos.

His mind's starting to go, obviously. He's living in his own little Wyrd world now... kinda like Willy Wonka in his chocolate factory.

I thought our own Supervike could use his own dedicated thread for things that may appeal only to him. Being that he's such a colorful part of the Wyrd World, the organizer of the Iron Painter, and probably one of the most quoted for signature lines, here's something "special" just for him....
Similar to the "Interesting things on the web" thread, this is a place to put things that would appeal to Supervike (and probably only a few other people on the entire planet). With that, here's my initial entry:
Who else but Vike would appreciate J&D's Baconlube more???
"As many of you know, we're huge bacon lovers here at J&D's. We now make Bacon Salt, Baconnaise and Bacon Lip Balm. That last one seemed like a stretch at first, but now that bacon has successfully made the jump from food to personal care, we're pushing it even further.
With that said, we're happy to introduce our newest product, baconlube™. It's not for sale yet, but we're looking for early product testers to put our "Everything should taste like bacon" tagline to the test. Please email us at keepitsizzlin@baconsalt.com to get on our beta tester list."

Wow! Very nice! I like monsters too! (Although I don't really like Rackham because of the annoyingly soft metal).

That looks really cool! Wish I could afford it!

:welcome: to Wyrd!

The Wyrd "Total Transgenderism"? "Absolute Androgeny"? "Hormonal Hermaphrodites?"

So how old are you in rodent years?? Hope you have a good one!

I am also quite skeptical to how comfortable it is using the case as workspace. I'd prefer to spread my things out a bit and use like an old newspaper or something as surface protection. This one raises the work area too much over the desk or table you use. I'd not be comfortable working like that.
I figure this is probably best for a painter who travels a lot, like St. Anger said there in his above post. Like Ritual, my painting area is a bit haphazard with stuff all over, but this case would look really cool set up in your hotel room. Be the envy of everyone at GenCon at the Paint and Take tables when you show up with this!
