It is highly recommended you read through the campaing rules and the information below before the event as crew hiring is very different. In essence, you create an arsenal that is used as a hiring pool for each game. The first round arsenal will be 35ss henchman led, while the remaining two rounds will build upon the previous round's arsenal and contain a master. Reference material will be available March 11. If you have specific questions you want answered before the event, feel free to ask!Registration 12:00pm-12:30pm (We will be using Best Coast Pairings App)12:30pm-12:45pm 35ss Aresenal Hiring for Round 1 12:50pm Round 1 start Painting Requirements: None Starting Arsenal size: 35ss Fixed Faction Scoring: TP/Diff/VP Prize Support: Mystery Box raffles. guilders, and Special Edition Miss Ery!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Round 1 Scenario: A wanderer sits down next to you in this dusty all but forgotten watering hole. Unbidden the barkeep puts a sour smelling ale down in front of him. You can’t make out his face under his filthy hood. After an uncomfortable silence a pale blue veined hand with dirt-caked, unkempt fingernails slides a greasy sheet of parchment toward you. “Power comes to those who seek it.” You reach for the paper and find his palm turned upward resting on the parchment. Reluctantly you quickly glance around the bar, reach into your satchel and produce a small glowing stone which you quickly place into his palm. Wordlessly he stands up and leaves. Being certain nobody is watching you unfold the parchment. Inside you find a map. Clues leading to something, something powerful. But it is incomplete. You need more. And you have an idea where to get it. Doubtlessly they won’t be easy to get. But you’ve come to know where some texts are hidden. They’ll be guarded. However there is no other way. Hopefully you can get enough information to put the rest of the clues together before your rivals can. Time to gather the crew and set out. Round 1 Arsenal Restrictions: -35 soulstones -henchman lead (note: zero cost henchman cost 13-cache) -Only one non-campaign upgrade may be included -Keep in mind, henchman will not add their cache to your soulstone pool during Round 1 Game -up to 3 unspent ss may be converted to script currency for use later in the campaign Round 1 Game Details: Deployment: Flank Strategy: Interference Schemes: Claim Jump, Frame for murder, dig their graves, show of force, inspection Event: Forbidden Text------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Round 2 Scenario: Through force or guile you’ve managed to piece together enough information to find the relic of old Malifaux referred to as The Tyrant’s Eye. It’s grimly fuelled by the souls of the dying. Thankfully you suspect your rivals will make worthy sacrifices. As if that were not enough. Your raid on the forbidden texts has drawn the attention of a master of soulstone. A letter telling as much just arrived. Frankly you can’t refuse their offer to help. Doubtlessly they have their own agenda and while it pains you to share the spoils, this may just be the edge you need. Time to meet up with your new patron, and head out to the site of the artifact. Fate awaits. Round 2 Arsenal Restrictions: -same 35ss pool as round 1 modified by any campaign upgrade or annihilation results from round 1 game -must add one free master. (This removes the zero cost henchman penalty incurred in round 1) -must add one non-master model per weekly campaign new hire rules, ie you get a 5ss discount -may purchase any additional non-master models and/or non-campaign upgrades with remaining script Round 2 Game Details: Deployement: Corner Strategy: headhunter Schemes: claim jump, leave your mark, accusation, a quick murder, last stand Event: Ancient Monument------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Round 3 Scenario: The dust has settled, blood has been spilt. It’s been a long week. Your crew deserves a drink. Thankfully your patron agrees and offers to pick up the tab! So your crew sets out to their favorite watering hole. And there they are. The bastards that have been giving you trouble all week long. Forget the whisky, you’ll show them who’s turf this really is. Time to roll up your sleeves and settle this rivalry once and for all.
